Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: Si Quixote parece un lugar de culto, no es casualidad. Este amplio restaurante antes era una iglesia mexicana, tal como lo insinúan las velas de Santa María y su púlpito convertido en barra. El chef José Cepeda hace interpretaciones de típicos platos familiares, entre los que se destacan ingredientes como los granos ancestrales, la masa y su especialidad, los moles.

Food was yummy, enjoyed the guacamole especially. Table was teeny, service was sub par. Plates weren’t cleared timely, so it made navigating the main dish challenging and tables that were sat after us were cleared and received their check long before us. Should have named the “Hell Room” Devil’s Den; a missed opportunity for sure.

Ambiance is very unique...you feel like you're dining in a church. I've gone here at least 4xs and the food has always been the star of the show. Their fondue (has yummy truffle oil in it), guac, shrimp tacos, and branzino are my favorite dishes there. The only disappointment of the evening is the time it took to get our cocktails. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks...once at the beginning of the meal, and then a 2nd round. Both times our cocktails were very delayed in being served. In fact, we were going to cancel the 2nd round because we finished our food and were literally waiting at least 15 min. Just as we told the server we'd like to cancel those drinks, out they came. But other than the wait, we enjoyed our dinner there. Oh, and tip...parking is very challenging in that area. You're better off ubering there.

The story of this restaurant is beautiful. However, when you are told that this is not a Mexican restaurant and we do not serve chips and that all the food is in shareable portions. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I was asked how many items were in one item, for example, tacos. I was never given a clear answer, but that they are shareable. The ambience was cool, but I see why people only go for this. It’s a one and done for me.

The cheese bun is exceptional. And the additional remnants if you have any is amazing additive to your tacos.

Food was great and the service was amazing. Only negative, it was very dark inside and a bit loud for some. Still overall, would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

The main course menu is very limited. There were 4 items the evening we dined there. The tapas menu had more to offer and we chose a couple each of them. The Ambiance was great, it’s a small venue and gets packed even mid week. We enjoyed dining there but CH group has better offerings around the city.

Joke of a restaurant. Had a reservation to celebrate a birthday and they ran out of 50% of their dinner menu. I don’t know how a restaurant runs out of 50% of their main entrees when they only have 4 to choose from. Waste of time and definitely a waste of money.
