   The venue is amazing, super thoughtful and the attention to detail is amazing. The food: The pickled tea leaf salad is great, very balanced and delicious. Oaxacan Fondue was good, very cheesy as expected. Crab corn doughnut, not good, crab meat tasted very tinned and was out of the fridge cold plonked on a warm doughnut. Bay Scallop Black Cocktail was also not good, waaaaay too salty, the scallops were lost in the black salty liquid as well as the octopus. In fact you couldn't taste anything other than limes and salt. The michelada was good, spicy, good flavours, that and the salad were the best things we had.

   We had the memelita, guacamole and a Maria Tambien for our cocktail. All of it was amazing and we’re looking forward to returning on our next trip to try more dishes and cocktails.

   The service was totally unprofessional. My entree arrived before the appetizer. Another entree arrived before the appetizer was finished. Then it was probably 10-15 minutes before for the other 2 entrees arrived. Dishes were cleared before I had a chance to finish. The noise level was so high that you could not talk to your seat mates. The lights were so dim that it required using the light on your cell phone to see the menu. While I was pleased with the inventiveness of the menu selections, and the octopus that I ordered was tasty, as was the guacamole appetizer and mixed drink, the rest of the experience, including having to park quite a distance away, will dissuade me from ever returning. Too bad as I was looking forward to having an upscale Mexican restaurant in San Diego.

   Everything about this restaurant was amazing I had a great experience the only thing that was difficult was parking especially during busy seasons it would be best to arrive early to give yourself time to find a parking spot if you decide to make reservations

   Awesome restaurant with a great menu. Cool vibe, great drinks and the chef is super cool.

   Quixote is my favorite restaurant in San Diego, the ambiance, drinks and food do not disappoint on a consistent basis. I will keep returning

   Took quite a long time to get seated with a reservation but the restaurant is beautiful. They were sold out of the BBQ ribs by 8pm on Friday. Spicy tuna tostada and chili garlic shrimp tacos were delicious. Guac was almost there, a little too much lime and I wish the micro-cilantro was incorporated through out and not just on top. I was a little sad that the tortillas did not taste home-made. The drinks were lovely, very good use of mezcal.

    The food and service were quite good. The decor is interesting, but too dark for my taste. It is very noisy.
