We loved our visit to Teakwood. The calimari melted in our mouths; the black cod main was superbly cooked and flavored. We have an aversion to over-spicy food, and we saw a lot of pepper flakes and seeds in the sauces, but amazingly the heat was not overpowering, and the flavors really came through. I had the mango/yogurt/lime drink (no alcohol), which was delightful to manage the heat. The place was hopping on a Friday evening, with a friendly vibe . . . service was a tad slow, but it did not affect our enjoyment and with a 6 p.m. reservation, we made it to the 7:30 symphony concert without a problem. The location is terrific for our needs, one block from Davies Hall and the Opera House, across the street from the Performing Arts Garage. We felt the pricing was very fair, the portions satisfying, the presentation beautiful, and the space airy. A great find!

Tea leaf salad, spring rolls fresh and fried rice were amazing. Chicken satay was not as expected and deep fried. Roti pratha looked good too. Highly recommend the restaurant.

We continue to be very happy with the food at Teakwood and somewhat dismayed by the service. Perhaps they are just in need of more employees? In any case, the food is great. The service is less than great.

The tea salad is worth the visit. Try the Branzino! This was great and spicy.

This was our first time coming here, we liked the decor! We really loved the duck curry that was delicious. A small downside with the The tea leaf salad which lacked a little flavor, that is the reason of the 3 but overall that was a good experience.

First-time diners at Teakwood. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding. Reserving a table on Open Table was easy, but we did so well ahead of time. Wonderful place for opera and concert goers. One piece of advice: choose an early time (we picked 5:00 pm) as the place fills up.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in the city. It’s so hard to put our forks down and stop when full because the food is so good. Every flavor is amazing in every dish. The absolute most amazing meal we’ve had in the city. Playlist is always really funny (has nothing to do with the food, always makes me chuckle).

Good food but the experience was marred by inattentive service. We ordered the smoked salmon, which was fine but not at all what we expected - it was a small salmon steak marinated in a sweet glaze with maybe just a hint of smoke. We also the spring rolls, which were tasty - wrapped in rice paper and slightly tangy with garlic crisp. Finally the chicken curry - a yellow curry that was flavorful, though could have been spicier. The problem was the service. It didn't seem that a single server was assigned to us for the meal, but we were served by several team members. While this creates efficiency - when an order comes up anyone can deliver it from the kitchen. But you lose any continuity, and no one came by to check on us. When they dropped off the entree I had finished my first glass of wine, and they disappeared before I could ask for another. I flagged someone down to indicate that I wanted to order another wine, and I thought she went off to inform our server but someone just brought another glass of the same wine - even though I intended to order a different one. But the mango panna cotta dessert was sooooo good that I felt compelled to forgive them for the annoying service lapses.

Every dish was delicious. Best meal I’ve had in a very long time. Hen of the woods tempura mushrooms noteworthy. Signature tableside salad easy share for the 4 of us, everything tasty, fresh, beautifully seasoned. I can’t wait to go back!!
