   We had quite a few minor mess ups during out meal. We were served the wrong drink, our appetizer came cold and our meal came with chicken when we verified twice with our waiter that it should not. These are easy mistakes that will get cleaned up as the kitchen staff finds their footing. Food wise: our appetizer, the roasted cauliflower was good. It could have used salt finisher as it was served, perhaps look into Maldon's flakey salt for visual and taste enhancers. House salad: visually it looked great. However, it only came with 2 slices of apple per dish. You could look to increase this as without the tartness of the apple, it is a bit bland. The figgs were a good touch but do not offer as much tartness as the apple. Additionally, you could look to use honeycrisps instead, which adds a hint of sweetness and delayed tartness which could work better with the overall taste of the dish. Perhaps you could play around with a raspberry vinegarette to add and/or experiment with adding small slices of strawberry to the salad. I think you would find for this to add a layer of visual pleasure and taste enhancers. The main plate of gnocchi was spectacular. There was however a few gnocchi that got an overwhelming amount of cheese on it. Ensure that the chefs take time to spread the cheese evenly and this dish will always have great reviews. Our dessert was the Crème brûlée. The overall dish was spectacular. Some people may agree or disagree that blueberries are good for it. Alternatively, try serving with with blackberries or more raspberries instead. The blue berries in the off season do not offer such an enhanced taste and visually look great. However, I think you could gain more reputation with the tartness a blackberry could bring to the dish.

   Wonderful first experience. Delicious food served by friendly and caring staff. Next time may sit in bar area to catch a different vibe. Two large parties that evening made the energy high in our seating area. Will return again and enjoy other interesting items on your menu. Thanks, this area needs fine dining options like Graphite!

   Great atmosphere and super nice wait staff. The food was buffet style for Mother's Day, and it was a good mix of meat, fish, sides and desserts. The nearly $50/plate price tag seemed a bit high for Columbia, IL, but it was a nice experience overall and our second time at Graphite. We'll be back!

   We were there the day before Mother's day, so probably why it was on the quiet side. But that in no way diminished the service or quality of the food, which was cooked to perfection. I'm very happy with this new venue in town.

   The birthday dinner we had was outstanding. The service was great—Emily was very attentive and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. I hesitate to order onion soup places but your soup was authentic and I will order again! Steaks / drinks/ sides - All good The atmosphere was fun. We had a big party, and there was plenty of room for us, but the place was nicely busy. The outside looked very inviting. I can't wait to try it on a nice summer evening. Keep up the good work! I have been talking it up to all my friends on both sides of the river. I work in STL and often go out to dinner there - Graphite rivals all the fun places we go in STL!

    It was our first visit to Graphite, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, with the Caesar salad (the anchovy was a great touch) and my ricotta gnocchi with added salmon being the highlights. The staff members are uniformly noticeably polite; someone has trained them well. Our waiter was very attentive to detail, and the bartender did a splendid job of preparing her first mint julep.
