Food was excellent. The shrimps were huge. My steak was moist and flavorful. Our waiter,Matt, was very nice and took great care of us. We will definitely be back.

Great food and service!! Our waiter, Matt, was so incredible - patient, kind and attentive. Brought lemonades to the rescue when we first sat down and our 2yo was crying! Guacamole, taquitos, sea bass were all delicious. Would definitely return!!

Trying to get to know Carlsbad a little better. This sweet little restaurant has really good food! Our waitress, I think her name was Allison, was fabulous. One of the real highlights was their Mole, it is amazing.

Outdoor seating was great, as inside was a bit noisy. We really liked the Chili Rellenos, which was not breaded, and added a short rib to it, which was great. Husband loved the chicken tortilla soup!

We had a reservation and because only outside tables were available when we made it, I politely requested a table further from the street as we have a member of our family who uses hearing aid devices to hear & background noise is difficult. This family member actually arrived first, and requested the same, but was told the table furthest from the street was set for 8, and bc our party only had 6 we could not sit there as another party with 8 had reserved that space (understandable, except we were there for almost 2 hours and no one was ever seated at that table.) We were then seated inside. The noise level was still extremely loud as all of the windows were open and several motorcycles and firetrucks went by throughout our meal every few minutes. The music inside was also extremely loud, which made it difficult to hear even without the noise from outside. Our waitress seemed to struggle with anticipating needs, especially related to kids. I had to ask for water cups with lids for my toddlers (the cups on the table were large and glass) and also had to ask for plastic cutlery for them as well as an extra plate for the meal they shared, which most folks usually just notice to bring for them.They have a kids menu but no coloring or activity which is always a miss IMO. We didn’t see our waitress often so we tried to bundle our asks when we could. We also had to ask for more water every time we needed it. Lastly, I found it off putting that a Mexican restaurant would charge for additional chips. Either provide chips or charge for them, it’s wild to provide one basket of complimentary chips and then charge for additional baskets! They also dye their chips blue rather than using blue corn tortillas, which we figured out in the grossest way— and I find annoying bc I dont do artificial dyes, and certainly wouldn’t have expected that from my tortilla chips. 🤢 Although the food was actually good, I would not return to this restaurant due to our mediocre experience.

2nd time. The food is super here. Clean, no seed oils, grass fed etc and it's delicious. There were a couple service kinks, but nothing terrible; otherwise, they would get 5 stars.

We really love dining on the rooftop deck for dinner, the music was great and we felt as if we were on vacation. We loved the new menu, I especially loved the crispy Brussels sprouts and the pork belly tacos. We will go again!
