This was our first visit to Kyojin Sushi and we really enjoyed it. The place has an upscale, hip, industrial vibe. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed everything we ordered (with one exception). It's definitely on the pricey side and portions are relatively small. We had three drinks and a couple of bottles of sparkling water and the bill, including tip and tax, was $388 for the three of us. We loved all of the rolls we ordered, with the exception of the veggie roll. We also really liked the "chicken tempura," although it was more like upscale super tasty nuggets than tempura. The house gyoza was tasty, but only came with three pieces. We will definitely return for another visit at a future date.

This is a fantastic Japanese place on a Georgetown side street. We had the fresh scallop and gyoza appetizers. Both were excellent though the gyoza only had 3 pieces (disappointing). Strong recommendation for the Jeff, Peter and especially Green Day (scallop) rolls. All were excellent. Also a shout-out to our awesome server Ben and Meredith the manager. Overall it was a great evening.

Ambience and food were very good. Sat at sushi bar and our chef made us a special salmon nigiri which was delicious. Would recommend this place for a quiet romantic evening!

Excellent sushi! Smoked lavender salmon roll was 10/10 as were the scallops! Very cool vibe as well.

Meredith helped make this night actually happen despite issues with flights. Erin gave amazing service and suggestions. The menu and fresh specials as well as cocktails were all epic and creative. Loved the entire experience. Thank you

This restaurant is loud! Tables are close together don’t expect to be able to make conversation. With that, food was delightful. The Creamy Scallop Roll was memorable and my favorite bite of the night. My friend and I split the sushi dinner and 2 rolls and we didn’t leave hungry. Our food came out before our drinks which is not my preference especially when it takes 15 minutes for 2 cocktails. The busser accidentally spilled on our table so we moved which was no problem. Accidents happen. Restaurant was accommodating and comp’d two desserts.

Food was pretty good, vibe was better. Upon walking in to check in, the hostesses were fighting over where to sit us and it was an awkward experience. They continued while we stood there and waited for a decision to be made on our table placement.. food and price was pretty decent, would go somewhere else to try before I returned to Kyojin

We sat at the sushi bar. The food is lovely. Our server was super kind but seemed to forget items. Maybe we caught the team on a slightly off night. Overall a lovely place.
