Located in the Historic Pearl, Ladino is a modern Mediterranean grill house celebrating all the cultures and cuisines of the Mediterranean region. Ladino features fresh-made pita from a wood-burning oven, an abundance of dips and small plates, and entrees from the 'mangal' - regional specialties cooked on a live-fire, charcoal grill. Desserts are inspired by the sweet and savory staples of the region with a modern touch, and the beverage program highlights the area's wines and spirits.

We ordered a sampling from all categories. My favorite was the shishbarak... The beef and lamb dumplings. The yogurt sauce was delicious, I ordered a second bread to sop up every drop. The pork souvlaki was amazing, and the lamb belly ribs were so flavorful. I wish I had their rub recipe! We also had the Tirshi and Kibbeh Nayeh, both wonderful. We did take home some of the lamb and souvlaki. But we had to share the ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was a sweet, refreshing finish to our meal. Alex, as well as all the other servers, were friendly and just attentive enough.

The food and presentation of same are beautiful. Service is outstanding. Nice wine list. Not huge but good selections. Only negative was the noise. The background music was too loud to start with and when we walked in it was rap. Not conducive to a higher end dining experience. Once the dining room filled, the noise level became VERY loud. Better option if weather allows is dining outside. Food is served family style with dishes meant to be shared. Every dish we ordered, which was 8, were very good. The fire roasted corn and butternut squash dishes were excellent, as was the pork souvlaki and saffron chicken. For a Tuesday night it became packed by 7:15-7:30!

Ladino always sets the bar high for restaurants in San Antonio. They’re consistent with their food, service, cleanliness, and ambiance. I’ve been to Ladino 3-4 times and it has become one of my favorite restaurants!

Excellent food, great ambiance (we sat outside), knowledgeable service that kept our table clean and comfortable throughout our courses bringing new plates and silverware when needed, Johnathan gave great wine pairings suggestions. We went on a hunch because they are part of the Emmer & Rye group, and they did not disappoint at all.

Loved everything single dish we tried and everything so unique and flavorful. With a party of six and the music it was hard to talk to our friends at the end. Next time we will wait for weather to cool down and sit outside. Delish! Do not miss.

Always a fun night at Ladino with the girls! We ordered several dips and the new cocktails off the happy hour menu! Can’t wait for next time

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! It hits all the right notes with their food, atmosphere, and service. I recommend patio seating if you like outdoors.
