Great food and service! We were a party of 6 from the Philly area and enjoyed the whole atmosphere! Friendly staff and professional! My burger was top!

Our server was friendly and polished. He even reminded me to move more in the shade because I was on meds that require me to stay out of the sun. We loved our table and view. The Mezze salad I had with shrimp was awesome as was hubby’s cold cucumber soup and grilled cheese sandwich. It was a perfect visit and meal.

We had the steakhouse burger, meatloaf and kids chicken tenders, all of which were average. The meatloaf was hard and a bit dry. The mashed potatoes were also dry. A few things were TOO salty. The burger was cooked just as requested but lacking flavour. We intend to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay here.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Hawkeye Bar & Grill, where the ambiance perfectly complemented the stunning lakeside setting. The food was well-prepared, with a great selection of comfort dishes and regional specialties. The service was attentive and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. The cocktail menu impressed us, and dining on the patio offered a breathtaking view of Lake Otsego. Overall, the Hawkeye Bar & Grill delivered a memorable and satisfying meal in a refined yet cozy atmosphere.

I am sorry to say that we did not have a good experience at the Hawkeye Bar and Grill this past weekend. The food was decent, and the service was OK overall, however, there was a serious fly infestation at our table in the dining room. We were swatting at the flies during most of our meal to the point where we asked for our check so we could leave. When I mentioned the flies to our server, she just said oh sorry. Also, the kid meal we ordered came on a large platter with two very hot bowls on top of it and when I asked for a smaller plastic or paper plate that we could transfer some of the food onto to cool it off I was told they didn’t have any. In summary, what was supposed to be a pleasant celebration was very disappointing. I contacted the restaurant to express our disappointment the following day and to alert them once again about the fly situation and how unsanitary it is. I was told they will look into the fly situation, but they did not seem overly concerned. We will not be going back.

I think the menu has been cut down but our group had the salmon, prime rib, swordfish and mahi Mahi and all were excellent. Service was great! Hope they add fish and chips to the menu! Also, chicken noodle soup and French onion soup were delicious!
