The team behind the Carbone restaurants that are now dazzling Dallas isn’t just about Italian. Their sparkling Sadelle’s in Highland Park Village is a New York deli — but hardly your typical one, which is why it stands out. Smoked salmon and sturgeon and deli sandwiches? Sure. But breakfast tacos, caviar, and Asian skirt steak, too.

Sadelle’s is a modern ode to New York’s classic tradition of all-day dining. Since opening its first location in the heart of SoHo in 2016, the brand has reached iconic status thanks to its urbane, celebratory atmosphere and a menu of hits, including the best bagels in America. Among its many accolades, Sadelle’s was named an essential brunch destination by Harper’s BAZAAR and Cosmopolitan, and its sticky buns were ranked one of the Best Dishes of 2015 by The New York Times. Sadelle’s currently has outposts in New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Paris, Boca Raton, and Dallas. The restaurant is named after MFG Co-Founder Jeff Zalaznick’s great grandmother.

The food and drinks were really good. I wouldn't recommend the oysters unless you love pickles. The espresso martini and the steak fajitas were great!! However, when we arrived there were plenty of open tables but for just 2 of us they needed us to wait to clean a table off. We sat down and it took a manager 10 mins to come over and get our drink order, then another 15 mins for our sever to come to the table and introduce themself and get our food order. It really wasn't busy at all so we were confused what the wait was about. Other than the wait everything else was nice.

Sadelle's was a perfect experience. I met a girlfriend for brunch on a Wednesday. Made reservations in advance. Was moderately full/buzzy - nice vibe - and as expected for the Highland Park Village a gorgeous interior but not too stuffy/snobby. It was bright, light, airy. The hostess was quick and friendly. Our waiter was perfection. Knew the menu, made recommendations, was honest, never "bothered" or over serviced us with interruption - never wanted for anything and never felt interrupted. I had the bagel with full salmon/veggie service and it was DIVINE. My friend said it was the best cappucino she'd ever had - and she had the veal dumplings (gorgeous and tasty) and the cheese blintz. My iced was perfect and we were there 1.5 hours because who would want to leave. Parking is always a challenge but you can park across the street in their designated lot and a SHORT walk to the restaurant that is on the corner behind Chanel. If I lived closer I'd go weekly!

Didn’t event get seated— the hostesses didn’t have our reservation and didnt bother to try to accommodate us.

Despite the delicious food and caring service, the restaurant was painfully noisy. We will not go back at such a busy time as Saturday lunch.
