    Angie was a great server, food took a little longer than I would’ve liked but the thing that really made me lose my appetite was Roger. As soon as we walked in, we headed to the bar so my father could close his tab out, while waiting I heard him make an inappropriate comment to my daughter, who is 9, and continued by calling her a cleptomaniac. Read the room, fine dining establishment is not the place to jokingly insult a child. He then continues to tell us we can transfer apps, checks, etc. all the meanwhile I’m trying to explain checks have been closed we just need the table, I would hate to blame it on his hearing, maybe he just doesn’t make it a point to listen to guests, but because he fails to understand the three attempts I’ve made to inform him of the status of my party, I say it again, in a stern voice, because honestly, who goes out to dinner to have to continuously explain themselves to staff. It would have all been fine but for Rogers biggest mistake, telling me to relax and waving his hands as if to calm me down. 1. I wasn’t upset (yet) 2. I most definitely didn’t need to be told to calm down since the volume of my voice or my words indicated anything but professionalism, something Roger clearly lacks 3. I imagine he would have never responded that way to a white male guest, but feels it perfectly acceptable to tell a woman to calm down for absolutely no reason My suggestion is, get him off the floor, give him proper training, and make him understand that his actions have consequences. I am heavily involved in the restaurant business in central Florida, and I will go out of my way to make sure everyone I know and am associated with hears about this incident and that particular employee. I hope it makes an impact, and again, he understands the role he plays in a restaurant, and the impact of his words on people he deems insignificant enough to be treated the way he thinks we should be.

    Food was great, server was nice, but for me the music was unbearably loud. They were kind enough to turn it down, but a nice restaurant like this is not a dive bar so I won’t want to have that experience for nicer/fine dining. If I did I would go across the way to yard house

    Everything was wonderful. Drinks, service & food. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because the steak was rare ish instead of med well. Def recommend Oceannaire !!!

    Amazing all around! We had late reservations, and our server Tom was great. He never made us feel rushed, gave great recommendations and was very personable. Everything we had was amazing, especially the seafood tower. I usually do not like lobster cocktail but wow this one was SO good. Steaks were cooked perfectly and Tom’s sea bass Louie style recommendation was great. This was our first time here, and I do usually go to Capital Grille, but we will definitely be back to Oceanaire now.

    Our server came across as rude and judgmental. The food is mediocre for the price. You can smell seafood as soon as you walk in which is what you expect from a seafood market, not an upscale restaurant. We had the shellfish tower. I was served a bad oyster. While the manager rectified the situation and was very professional, the chef said he smelled it and it seemed fine to him, it just came from “deeper in the ocean”. I have had 100s of oysters and the chef is either incompetent or a liar. At least the drinks and bread were good.
