Fattoria e Mare ("Farm and Sea") is a vibrant Bay Area restaurant utilizing organic, sustainable ingredients sourced from local vendors. The menu will change often featuring local, fresh ingredients at their peak. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the menu places an emphasis on seafood, while also providing a range of other Venetian inspired options. Executive Chef and Owner, Pablo Estrada, immerses himself in every meal he creates. He is passionate about crafting delicious, unique dishes and ensuring all guests have a wonderful dining experience.

We were originally located in Burlingame, but have moved to a new location, nestled in the heart of downtown Half Moon Bay. Our new location allows us flexibility to serve large groups, parties of two, or anything in between. We have options for private dining experiences (e.g. work parties, birthday parties, etc.)
Happy Hour specials are offered Sunday-Thursday, 3:00-5:30. We look forward to welcoming you!

We love coming to Half Moon Bay when we are in Northern California. Fortunately for us, we had lunch at Frattoria E Mare. It's got a great vibe. This Italian Restaurant exceeded all our expectations. The food, service and ambience were fabulous. My wife enjoyed the lasagne, (perhaps the best she ever had). I had a delicious Penne Amatriciana. The salad was so fresh and scrumptious. The lunch prix menu offered dessert. I had the pannacotta and loved every spoonful.

My wife and I visited for dinner during the July 4th holiday. It was our first visit. The restaurant was very attractively laid out, with good separation between tables. It was not particularly busy the night we were there, and so the noise level was quite modest, a pleasant change compared to other dining experiences. Our waiter did an excellent job, and was extremely attentive to our needs. Having lived in the Emilia-Romagna area of Italy for some time, it was nice to see wines from that region represented on the wine list. We ordered three appetizers, two mains, and then shared a dessert. I enjoyed the appetizers and the dessert very much, and to be honest, if/when we go back, we may skip the mains and just order more appetizers and double down on the dessert. We had the Roman style artichokes, a little gems salad, and the Wagyu beef carpaccio. We were very happy with those items. The mains were a Margherita pizza and the linguine with clams and prawns. They were both good, but not as good as the appetizers. The panna cotta dessert with huckleberries was one of the best versions of panna cotta I have had anywhere, and this includes extensive outings in Italy. It is a worthwhile extravagance. Overall, we had a very nice experience. We chatted with a gentleman who I presume is the manager, and had a most pleasant conversation about wines and panna cotta. When we visit Half Moon Bay again, I would be happy to have another meal here. If our experience was typical, then I would certainly recommend an appetizer-heavy menu selection. If this restaurant were located closer to where I live, it would get multiple visits per year.

What a fabulous experience! The menu and food are amazing. We had the linguine with clams and the tortellini with crabmeat but when we saw some of the entrees served to the other diners we made a prominent to comeback. The staff was attentive and the owner made time to talk each table. The food was fresh, expertly prepared and the atmosphere was very romantic, perfect for our anniversary.

The serve staff deserve better. Luis was excellent . I went here because of the reviews. Chef trained at Luce, no way!!! I’ve been to Luce and the brunch here was simply horrible. How do you mess up eggs, potatoes and steak. Well, apparently you can, everything was greasy including the focaccia bread. Eggs runny, steak covered in a salty sauce. We won’t be going back. There are other restaurants in Half Moon Bay much better than here.

The prices were a little higher than we usually spend dining out but the food and service was so exceptionally good that it was well worth it.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Fattoria e Mare! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend Fattoria e Mare to anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed setting. We will definitely be back!

The saffron pappardelle, pork chop & mussels are a must order. We shared everything family style and it was perfect for our group. Their cocktails can be made as mocktails - we tried a few and loved the tamarind the best. We were a large group, had a reservation for Mothers Day and still had to wait more than 15+ minutes for our table to be ready. There was another table set up for a large party that remained empty while we were waiting for ours to be ready- so it was a bit interesting how the hostess prioritized the floor. She wasn’t the warmest & the first face you see at a resto can really make or break the experience. But luckily our server, food runners and bartenders were exceptional- they turned the whole lunch around for sure!
