Newly remodeled, the much airier Tavern is all about art, music, and above all great food. Open for lunch and soon to include evening dining, the Tavern adds a distinctly Mexican/Pacific Coast set of flavors to the local fine dining scene.

We are located in the heart of the Cedros Design District, within walking distance of the Amtrak station. The style is casual with indoor and outdoor dining ( plus bar seating). The patio, which can accommodate 18 guests, looks out onto the shop-lined Cedros Avenue and can be separated from the main dining area for private events.

*Please note* Our restaurant welcomes walk-ins during our Lunch hours from 11:30 am- 3:30 pm.
*Tavern restaurant will be closed for dinner (Lunch will remain open Monday and Tuesday when the belly up is dark)

If you're coming to a show at the Belly Up, do yourself a favor and get reservations here. If you dine before your show, you get in before they open the main door, which nets you a prime seat without the need to rush or stress. I've always been impressed with the bartenders here, the drinks are excellent and the service friendly and prompt. The food is the best part. If you order an entree, it will look gorgeous and taste great. The prices might seem a little high, but this isn't chain restaurant sadness. The food is high quality and the sauces and flavors a step above. I'd eat here even without show tickets, it's that good.

We love the food and drinks and service at the tavern. Ciara and crew always take good care of us and they are super accommodating about helping us fit a few more people at our table when we need to. This is our go to weekend spot.

Great place to enjoy food, drinks, and dessert prior to a show. Ambiance is great with concert posters on the wall and a few TVs to watch the big game. Limited seating so plan early!

We ordered the Lobster dumplings & chix bbq pizza as appetizers. Burger, short rib, salmon & ahi bowl for dinner. All the food was amazing!

The food was amazing!! Made my tastebuds sing!! Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match. Got a text my table was ready 20 minutes before the reservation time to show up at the reservation time and be without a table. Our waitress was minimally attentive and rushed. At one point, she poured iced tea into my water glass and we had to wait forever for the check.
