    The food is consistently excellent. The only complaint I had with my meal was the rice pilaf was just kinda there. I had the grouper and shrimp special. The fish and especially the shrimp were outstanding. My wife had the scallops and shrimp which she enjoyed very much. We shared the apple fritter bread pudding with house made ice cream and a bourbon caramel sauce that was to die for.

    Exceptional! Northside has such a talented staff - great service, delicious food and a uniquely inviting atmosphere. Try the beef wellington or the stuffed shrimp- the entire menu is incredible!

    Beef Wellington was exceptional. Apps and sides were also delicious. Drink selection was very good.

    Fantastic! Ambience was fun & upbeat. Menu was so creative & tasty - as were the drinks. Also - the service must be mentioned. Outstanding! Whether authentic or not, the hostess, wait staff& servers seemed genuinely happy to make the experience top notch. Highly recommend!

    This place is a hidden gem - well, maybe not to locals but it was an unexpectedly great find for me. Casual ambience and excellent food. The menu was diverse and interesting. Drinks well made and an interesting wine list. Service hit that sweet spot of attentive but not annoying. As someone who often dines alone, I've experienced the subtle cues from servers who want to turn the table when I am by myself. None of that here. If I am back in Raleigh, I will come back here. Highly recommend.

    Another great meal at the Northside Bistro. Everything from appetizers, through entrees to dessert was creatively prepared and uniformly delicious.
