   Excellent fresh sashimi with variety. Portions of traditional entrees were quite small, no entree sizes available but at entree prices. Service was efficient yet detached. Liked the roving violin player. Appreciated the complementary dessert for our special occasion.

   Our server was amazing, she was very knowledgable and attentive. The food was delicious! They had a violinist that was walking around performing that was fantastic! We really enjoyed out evening and will definitely return.

   All the rolls we tried were delicious - exactly the type of creativity and variety I want when going out for sushi. Will definitely be back! Service was a little slow I think because of a large party in the private room.

   The music from the violinist was WAY too loud, even though he was good. Food was good, and fresh clean sushi. Too many chopped sushi rolls for my taste though.

   This place was outstanding!!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The server we had made the experience even better. The food she recommended was on point. And let’s just talk about the ambience……amazing!!! To top it off a violinist was walking around playing music! So amazing. We will definitely be back! So worth the money!

    Most items on the social "happy" hour menu were reasonably priced. It was quiet/slow so not sure why it took my food so long to come out. Luckily all the items tasted great. Cocktails were delicious as well. I sat at the counter to see the sushi being made but sadly the chefs didn't make much of a show of it. I could barely see anything. Definitely order from the Toyosu selection of the day. It won't disappoint.

    The food was not as good as previously. The live music, a strolling violinist with backup recorded instruments, is loud, making conversation difficult. The server rushed us through our meal. with no understanding of pacing a meal.

    We had quite the experience! The preparation of the sashimi was perfect and the hot appetizers were delicious! A5 Wagyu Capriccio is a must have menu item! We had a great time and we will most definitely be back! 12/10 will recommend to EVERYONE!

    This was my very first time visiting KUU . I’m the service was good but the food just didn’t meet expectations. The lamb was a bit dry and the sushi was okay .

    Amazing experience. Kuu is my favorite sushi restaurant in all of Houston and I come here very often. The fish is always very fresh, service is always top notch and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. I always make a reservation just incase they get busy but it’s not really needed. The outside seating has an amazing view and is so quiet, inside can get a bit noisy just depends which day you go. Will be back soon!

    KUU remains one of the best places for Sushi inside the Belt. Always fresh and accommodating, they always serve a perfect array of fish from Japan. And their desserts are very nice!

    I came once on a business lunch and have visited two more times. The food is incredible. It’s an upscale restaurant and the portion/price ratio reflects that, but if you look past that it’s worth treating yourself now and then. I haven’t gone wrong with anything I’ve tried off the menu yet. They have items I don’t typically see in other restaurants which I really appreciate.

    16th Birthday celebration and no one there acknowledged the celebration. Food portions were a joke literally for what they charged! The staff kept explaining they were more “tapas” style. That is fine, however, you do not charge full price for micro portions. My 11 year old son asked where his food was. Hated to tell him he already ate it. This should tell you something. Really wanted to enjoy the experience but was disappointed.

    First time visiting with my fiancee for Valentine's day. Jennifer was our waitress. She perfectly explained the menu options and what was yummy. We left feeling like we got the full experience. 10/10 would recommend.

    KUU is always an amazing experience. Took my friend for his first time and he loved it. Highly recommend the Japanese Uni, but everything is so delicious and well presented. Wait staff was amazing as always.

    It maybe the restaurant was under staffed. We had 3 servers working our table and the communication was lagging. So we had long periods of waiting for our courses and drinks to be served.

    Upscale, warm decor with plenty of seating, inside, outside and at the bar. My server was attentive without being intrusive and was superb in her explanation of my Bento Box. Chili prawns cooked to perfection, delicious miso soup, salad, fragrant rice and just the perfect little bit of chocolate topped with pomegranate arils to finish the meal. Can't wait to go back (I was there for lunch).

    It was a quiet week night, not busy , server was very nice and warm but had an off putting cloud of cigarette smell attached to him. (I’m very allergic to smoke and found it very unpleasant) The food was good on par with the other upper level restaurants in town, but for me wasn’t quite there.

    Delightful New Year's Eve dinner at Kuu. We were treated like royalty by our waitress Jennifer. We ordered dishes intermittently and she kept us informed when they would be ready. There was a slight back log in the kitchen so she brought us complimentary edamame. Food was all delicious. A great place for a special night out.

    KUU never disappoints! Delicious food, great service (kudos to Jennifer). Beautiful presentation of the dishes, modern style sashimi and sushi, great quality of fresh fish. One of our favorite restaurants in Houston! Only negative point is: it’s too cold inside, so whenever the weather allows it, we dine on their nice patio!
