Tucked away in a sleepy side street in the heart of Buckhead, Anis is located in a converted house that has been renovated to look and feel like one of many little charming restaurants that you are likely to find in the Provence region in the south of France.

The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.

Always the most relaxing atmosphere to enjoy wonderful French food - just a vibrant patio, the best in Buckhead. Terrific wahoo in a cold salad of haricot verts in mustard vinaigrette. Chocolate mousse cannot be missed. You're fortunate to have Henry as a server - attentive and outgoing - very pleasant!

We had to send our steaks back as we requested medium rare and inside was raw. They cooked them more but outside was super charred and tasted awful. It was an expensive, super disappointing meal. However Dillon was outstanding!!

We sat outside under cover but the noise level was over the top. My husband’s entree was ok; mine was over cooked fish that became mushy and was beyond saturated in oil and butter. Nothing, except for the spinach, was worth eating. When served, the young man slammed the dishes on the table and raced off. They did the right thing and removed my fish from the bill. Overall, it was not the least bit enjoyable.

I have been coming to Anis for years. This was the first time I can honestly say, I was a little disappointed. Our server was dressed as though he was going to the beach, in gym shorts and a tee shirt. We waited longer than usual for our drink order to be taken, and even longer to get the drinks. There were 4 of us, 2 were very important friends from out of town. He came back with 3 of our drinks and we had to wait for the last drink. I had to flag him down to check on my friend’s cocktail. We ordered a bread basket and I specifically asked for extra butter. The bread came, no extra butter, so 4 of us had to share this little tiny pat of butter. He definitely did not seem on his A game. This may be little things, I understand, but I truly wanted my out of town guests to have the same wonderful experience that I normally have. They come to Atlanta fairly regularly, and I specifically chose this restaurant for the high quality of dining I have always had.

The vegetable tortellini was delicious. The sea bass special was not a highlight. Even at an early hour, the noise level was so great that we had difficulty hearing the waiter describe the specials and probably would have ordered something else had we heard the full description.
