   We would have given 6/5 stars if it was allowed! My husband and I chose Bel Mare for our anniversary dinner and couldn't have been happier with our choice! First, we asked for the private outdoor table and it was the perfect private romantic spot for us! Our waiter was so kind, courteous, and attentive. He gave great suggestions and made me a special drink to accommodate my carbonation and alcohol restrictions. We ordered Lobster Risotto, Veal Bolognese, Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Gelato, all incredibly delicious and beautifully plated. The Key Lime Pie had a special chocolate and sparkler for our anniversary! We would absolutely come here again!

   For the total cost of the experience, and being a “fine restaurant”, they could have had at least some gluten free offering.

   Day catch Sea bass piccata totally delish! Warm bread, butter, olive oil, herbs, Parmesan ❤️ Veal Bolognese was superb, best ever! Cream of mushroom soup~ so good, Taleggio cheese made it perfect!

   We came 1/2 hour earlier than our reservation and they accommodated us. Excellent service and food. A beautiful and classy oasis in the midst of Key West.

   Fantastic view from our outside table. The food was outstanding. The service from beginning to end was great. The Key lime pie for desert topped off a great evening.

   Our recent dining experience at Bel Mare was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Watching the sunset over the water while enjoying a fantastic meal made for an unforgettable experience.     Great food and service. Yes it is a little pricey but then it is Key West. The ambience was terrific as we ate outside and the weather was perfect. We focused on fish since we were on the ocean but we heard others remarking on the high quality of their land based servings. Overall we would highly recommend this place for a lovely evening out together!!
