    Absolutely amazing sushi place in Jackson. We’re from NYC and the sushi here is comparable to NYC sushi. Great softy for dessert too. Quiet setting and elegant. Food took a bit long to come out but it was good quality.

    Such a great sushi spot. We came for a nice dinner and this place rivals Uchi/Uchiba in terms of service, freshness, and all around ambiance. Add this to your list!!

    We dined at Kampai with a party of four for my sister’s bachelorette and we could not have had a better experience. We are fans of Kampai from previous experiences but this dinner blew us out of the water; the food, drinks, the atmosphere, and the service by Melissa H were absolutely incredible. Melissa went above and beyond to make my sister feel special and our whole party felt taken care of, not rushed, and overall just made our night so enjoyable. One male on staff who was not serving that night, helped our table out as well and I don’t recall his name but he was extremely kind and helpful which really made our experience so great. We will be coming back to Kampai for years to come.

    Sat at the sushi bar and ordered omakase from chef David. It was sublime. Likely to be the highlight of our trip to Jackson. If you have the opportunity, do it.

    Food was amazing… we went with omakaze and let the chefs wow us with their creations. Must do restaurant while in Jackson.

    The Omakase tasting menu was wonderful, with dishes chosen to suit the tastes and food tolerances of our party. All the sashimi was fresh and pure, and the bottle of sake recommended by the waitress was super. Appetizers were excellent - special mention to the wagyu-foie gras dumplings - unctuous and luxuriant. The crispy fried chicken chunks and eggplant with yuzu miso made a fine dinner for the youngest member of our party - 4 1/2. Staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient, ambience had Asian simplicity but was comfortable - and not too noisy. Definitely a special and memorable meal- thank you!

    Sat at the sushi bar so got to watch them make everything! Fresh, great presentation and delicious. Mark, our server, was great - friendly and attentive (yet not annoying 😊) and made some suggestions on specialty drinks that were all fantastic! I'm a local and have never been to Kampai before but, definitely will be going back.

    Started with Miso soup and Waygu Tataki Ordered chilled ToKo Saka - Ultra lux - Lychee, grapefruit, and white pepper 10 piece chef's choice Sashimi 2 pieces of Golden Eye Snapper 6 piece Toro Uno - fatty tuna, takuan, scallons Hand roll - Unagi foie - fresh water eel, foie Gras, Huckleberry tare. Huckleberry softly - soft serve. Seated at the bar as reserved when I arrived. No wait. Service from wait staff was excellent. Service from Sushi chef was exceptional. Food served at proper temperature and at a good interval. Cost is as expected for the locale. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner. Park at the lot about a half block North as parking is scarce in this area.

    Kampai is always great. The freshest fish, creative preparations, delicious cocktails. Good to pop in and sit at the bar or take a group up to the rooftop. Definitely one of my favorite places in Jackson.
