    Bohanan's is a special place. It's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. You will find perfectly executed dishes served by highly trained staff that anticipate your every need. We started with cocktails to unwind, and then ordered a cold and a hot appetizer. After we ordered our steaks, we were kind of at a loss at what wine to order (I'm that guy). Our waiter didn't blink, he called the wine captain to our table. We told him what we generally like, and what we had in mind spending...of course, he nailed it. I don't know how, but somehow they never miss. I gave up long-ago feeling intimidated by leaning into the sommelier for advice. Of course everything was delicious, and we were made to feel very comfortable by our server. It was a perfect night. If you do get to visit, make sure that you save room for dessert prepared table side.

    My wife and I celebrated our 27th anniversary here, and the whole experience was fantastic. This was our first time to dine here and could not have asked for a better place to celebrate. The service, food and drinks were all great as well as the ambience.

    Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 33rd anniversary at Bohanan's. The food was impeccable and everything was cooked to perfection. The dessert was absolutely delicious. But the thing that made it a memorable evening was the service from Rick B. HIs courteousness, professionalism, and knowledge of everything on the menu was spot on. His friendliness and light-hearted personality just added to the overall experience. It was our first time at Bohanan's and he made us feel extremely comfortable and relaxed, made suggestions and listened to us attentively. We'll definitely be back.

    Traveled from Dallas to San Antonio for my birthday trip and decided to have dinner at Bohanan’s, since the reviews were great and it was barely a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We had an amazing experience! I received many birthday wishes from the staff, complimentary celebration champagne, and the food was some of the best I’ve had. I can tell everything was fresh and made in-house. Our server team was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions we had. I was craving shrimp, so we started off with the 4 colossal shrimp cocktail. We also tried the escargot which was heavenly. Perfectly prepared escargot in a cheesy fondue, served with garlic crostinis. But it also paired amazingly well with the complimentary warm, buttery, dinner rolls. For our entrees, my boyfriend ordered the crab cakes. Two stacked lump crab cakes with hardly any filler. They were delicious and served with a sauce. I ordered the mesquite red fish topped with crab and scallop. Amazing flavor and of course, prepared perfectly. Their sides are shareable, so we tried the lobster corn and spinach. No complaints there either! Everything from the service to the food was top notch. Highly recommend dining here if you are visiting downtown San Antonio! 1000/10

    This is the only classy restaurant in San Antonio. Great location.. across the Majestic Theatre. I love the ambiance and the service is impeccable not to mention the food. Steaks are perfectly cooked. I had the Ribeye, very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Skipped the salad this time and tried the French Onion soup …so delicious. My husband had the mesquite red snapper.. he very much enjoyed it.

    Let’s just start off by everything was amazing, I took my now fiancée there for the celebration our engagement and everything was perfect. We arrived 10 minutes early and are table was ready and they sent us to the second floor. We got up there and were immediately greeted and taken to our seats. Our server was amazing he checked in at perfect times and answered all our questions. The cream cheese and candied jalapeños were amazing as well as the bread. My fiancée got the jumbo shrimp and she fell in love; I got the lobster tail and 7oz steak and it was perfect. We got a complementary crème brûlée and both of us never had one but it was amazing. The whole experience 10/10!

    My darling Rosie and I made reservations for two. celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We got doozied up (attire wise, not the too much to drink wise). From the first welcoming door being opened and the stewardship of our walk to the elevator and subsequently to our table was profiently accomplished! We had the best seats in the house! The staff moving about the very busy dining rooms were all gracious and professional. Not cold human beings. Friendly and in touch with their customers. Our person was Michelle. She was very engaged in providing the very best to us along with her team. AND, they delivered! We had the Chateaubriand for two, shared a salad, I had a glass of Goldsmith Cabernet and we finished off with cinnamon ice cream that was devilishly delicious! Elegance and ambiance. It was all there. I don't know how or who did it, but a huge thank you to the people who paid for our entire experience, including, I was assured, a generous tip for our server and her team.
