   Had Mother's Day dinner at The Winery and it did not disappoint! There were 4 of us and we were seated on the upstairs patio overlooking the bay and it was beautiful! The food and drink were delicious as always and the service impeccable even on Mother's Day. The fresh oysters, crab cocktail, and the seared ahi with avocado cigars were lovely starters. For the main courses we had cioppino, venison, filet mignon and the duck - and all were delicious. This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions and of course for Date Night! Highly recommend fir a delicious and delightful meal in a beautiful setting, Thank you as always!

   Our favorite restaurant! The food is excellent and the service is professional, yet personal. The marina view reminds me what a special area Newport Beach is. Efi went out of her way to create a special day and to take very good care of my family for this happy occasion. Thank you Efi! The halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection. All the food was delicious! My compliments to the staff. Thank you for making my Mothers Day so special and memorable.

   Disaster on Mothers Day - kept us waiting 40 mins for table and another 10 for service. They were overbooked and under resourced. Shame on their management; service staff did their best but really Winery, you can do much better than this. Will give you a wide berth in future and let our friends know.

   We accidently booked for the wrong date but they kindly accommodated us without a wait. Our waiter, Paul, was exceptional!

   It had been a while since we have been to this winery location in Newport Beach. When we arrived, it was pretty empty but interestingly quite warm and loud. Our server was not quite confident nor had charisma. But none of the servers were either. In fact, another server who was close to our table gave us dirty looks and when we asked her to get vinegar and oil, nodded and left. It took us 2 hours to get our food. As for food, let’s start with salad was ok, the soups was cold and clam chowder saucy and looked old or came out of can. For main meal, then Rib eye was ordered well done and it was charred. They charged us for refills of ice tea. So after almost 3 hours, manager did comp the sofa and ice cream, but overall everyone left before we even got our dinners. Friday to Sunday music is too loud for the steak vibe. Not my cup of tea

   If you are reading my review, don’t think twice about going. This restaurant with the view, food , wine list and ambiance should be the hardest reservation in South OC. This is our second time and it won’t be the last.

   Food and service was good but the selfish patrons taking selfies with huge spot like cameras was blinding and not one staff person said a word. Poor management. Will not return.
