    The make-over really changed the feel of Casa Italiana. It's a lovely space, no longer intimate feeling. It is open and bright. The lamb chops were well prepared, the right temperature, and nicely seasoned. The meatball and fried polenta appetizer was a meal in itself, as I did by adding a salad. Fried polenta is a true treat - crunchy and flavorful. The meatballs were huge, and very tasty, but could have used more seasoning. Pepper would be my choice. I added red pepper flakes, that worked. My Caesar salad was crisp and fresh, just the right amount of parmesan. The croutons seemed to not be made in house, added nothing to the mix. I would have like anchovies and a non-creamy dressing. It was thick and cloying, but had the right flavors. I true Caesar dressing would be more aligned with the traditional style the chef chose for the menu. The wine list has a good selection of Italian wines, with a few well-prices gems, like the bottle-only Montepulciano. Very nice accompaniment to the dishes we had. Good service, too. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will return.

    Had lunch with a good friend who had never eaten here before and this is one of my wife's and my fairly frequently visited restaurants but I have never been here for lunch. We both had the soft shell crab sandwich special with fries and they were amazing. Go figure, "That's Italiana". My friend said he would definitely make sure he came back again in the future.

    This restaurant is charming, bright festive great ambience. The food is absolutely delicious. My second time visiting here is truly a treat. Good wine. The owner and management is Superior. We started with oysters and eggplant, fries and mushrooms. So good I could’ve stopped there, but I did have a eggplant Parmesan entrée, which was so spot on. And provided me with a delicious brunch. The next day. I can only eat half on the night of dining there . Because I had so many appetizers they were so delicious.
