At Le Papagayo Carlsbad Village you can expect live music nightly blended with the best in Coastal/Mediterranean/New American food and cocktails. With a full bar and service from 8am-10pm nightly you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the newest addition to Carlsbad Village. Located conveniently off Carlsbad Village Dr. we are a short walk from State St and just off the freeway for easy access from either direction. We have a large public parking lot directly in front of the restaurant along with assigned parking off to the north end. Please come in and enjoy breakfast/lunch or dinner any day or night of the week and don't hesitate to call to see who's performing today :)

Band was very good. ZB Savoy. Some old former touring musicians. Not very crowded. Server was Antonia: very pleasant

Really like Le Papagayo but was disappointed as our reservation was for 4pm. We got caught in the between lunch and dinner and did not have a good selection of meal options. We had to wait at the table until 5 pm to order off the dinner menu … per our server. Frustrating, no exceptions! No where is this requirement posted, I guess you have to read between the lines … my fault! By the time dinner was available you were stuffed on appetizers.

Wonderful happy hour drink choices and tacos. The shrimp tacos were grilled on corn tortillas and very tasty. I also had the lobster bisque. It had actual lobster meat and a rich, creamy bisque flavor. I could drink it, it was so good!! The chicken piccata was a breast but not pounded much, so less ‘crispy’ than some versions. It was still flavorful and cooked nicely. We had a great server. She knew the menu and we truly enjoyed chatting with her. Something for guests to know when requesting patio seating- there were multiple dogs on the patio. All were well-behaved, but for my friends that are nervous around dogs, you’ll want to request an inside table.

Le Papagayo has been a regular favorite of my family for years. The menu is not overwhelming and has just enough variety (and seems to be periodically updated with new options while still including some of my favorites). The ambiance is great (live music!) and the staff are friendly.

We love Le Papagayo! The food is always good, and the service is excellent. Austin was our server this weekend, and he was engaging, attentive, and quick!

We had to call a server because we hadn’t been helped after 15 mins no water or anyone came to introduce themselves. There was a bigger group that sat behind us and they got helped before us. Once we called to have our orders taken service was good.

They made a mistake. The emcee came over and apologized–then comped us a portion of the meal. Classy move. We will come back again.
