   An excellent blend of French cooking styles and regions. Impeccable service, food, and drinks. My wife has been searching for bisque de homard en croute and this is the best one so far. did not disappoint and is...the best one so far. The new baked bay scallop in shell, with lobster in a champagne beurre is a must try. The classic sandwich au fromage raclette, croque monsieur, cordon blue de poulet, profiteroles, pot de creme will not disappoint. However, I was a bit disheartened when I did not see mille-feuille on the dessert menu. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself, family and friends on that next special occasion by visiting Brasserie Mon Chou Chou.

   There was a table last night that was loud. An individual was obnoxious, loud, and with speaking with profane language. The individual was already drunk when he arrived. I don’t understand why the establishment did not remove this individual.

   Robert was an outstanding server!! Knew the entire menu and gave us outstanding recommendations! Even has a musical background which went over well with our musically-minded kids. This was our fourth time at Mon Chou Chou, and it hasn’t disappointed us yet! Branzino, Duck Confit, steaks, raclette, and much more are all wonderfully prepared and delicious! This place is a must do in San Antonio.

   OJ, our waitor was exceptional. Was there for us the moment we needed him. We commented on his commitment for making us feel special. Very knowledgeable about the food and wine. His demeanor was lovely. Mon Chou Chou is better because of OJ! Perfection! Thank you! Linda

   I hate to have to write a negative review because we have enjoyed many visits to the Brasserie before, but because the oysters were always delicious in the past, I ordered a dozen as we sat down. I'm not sure what was wrong with them, but they were definitely not up to the quality we'd had before. At first, I thought they might be bad, but then decided they were old or a bit off or just poor quality. To start off with $50 (incl tx and tip) worth of poor quality oysters was not a good beginning. The salads were very good and my daughter said her branzino was delicious! My chicken was dry and tough, and that too had never happened before. My wife's steak was very good I'm told and the creme brule was delicious. So I have difficulty tallying all that up. You have the details above. We love your place. We go to France almost every year. I have a bergerie in Corsica where I've been going for 50 years +. So your brasserie reminds us of so many good times in France. I did not want to complain on the spot because this was a celebration for my wife surviving a deadly cancer for more than three years and I felt that 'making a scene' would spoil the occasion. The waiter, Garrett, was so polite, so attentive, I did not penalize him with the tip as you'll see, but I would be grateful if you would consider crediting us at least part of the cost of the meal for the oysters and probably the chicken. We were the Binkley reservation for 4 at 11:45am on 25 November, outside. We look forward to returning to the kind of experience we've had in the past! Kind regards, John Binkley P.S.     Service was very poor, had to keep asking for things over and over still never received, waited 35mins for sides never came lemons for tea and water never came bread for table never came don’t waste your money

    Omg. My husband and I came here for our mini honeymoon and we have never ever had a better food experience. The food was out of this world, eye rolling delicious! The waitress was also so attentive and sweet!

    One of the best dining experiences we have had! We have been to French Brasseries in New York, Philly, all over the US, and this is one of the best! The service was exceptional and so was the location. The food was authentic French bistro food with some of the best oysters, Onion soup and steak frittes we have ever had! The escargots, steak tartare were so flavorful and prepared in unique but authentic ways. Just wow!!

    Overall good. However we came for their best, most popular dish and it was sold out? We weren’t told of this (even when the waitress said it was their most popular dish beforehand and listed it from things to try). Food was wonderful, however. Ambiance was ok.

    Sunday brunch was delightful. The oysters and escargot starters were delicious. The mushroom omelette was so creamy with out of this world tasting mushrooms! Crème Brûlée was outstanding. Our attentive server, Michael, was polite, friendly and very efficient. We had a wonderful experience!

    This was our third trip to Mon Chou Chou. Both of our previous meals were excellent, but this one was disappointing. The cheese course was fantastic, but my daughter and husbands steak and eggs were very salty, almost to the point of being inedible. I had the vol au vent and it was also very salty. I usually LOVE salty food, but it was too much, even for me. The service was also less impressive than our previous visits. Possibly they were having a bad day, but after this experience, I won’t be recommending it as ‘high end’ anymore, and not for brunch at all.

    One of our favorites! We were scrolling through on Friday trying to decide where to get lunch the next day. As soon as I saw the name my mind was made up. Mind you, we’ve been here countless times and the fact that just reading their name I could taste the garlic aioli. ALWAYS a fantastic time and team!

    Went for my mothers 65th birthday. Service was beyond perfect. All the food was delicious. Will not be a regular restaurant to visit because it is expensive, but will definitely keep it in mind for other special occasions.

    Food was good, not great. Had French Onion Soup, the crouton had disintegrated into the broth and there was so much cheese that the soup was more bread and cheese than anything else. Scallops were OK, pretty small for sea scallops, they were much more the size of bay scallops. We had to ask for bread, no butter was served.

    The service was excellent but the food was not up to par. Our friends are from Dallas and we highly touted mon. One of our guests had to send his steak back bec it was almost raw. When he got it back it was still not done properly. I had the frisée salad which has always been a favorite but it was not good. The mushroom bolognese was a big hit.

    Excellent service, very attentive and informative waitstaff. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne for our anniversary. Food was wonderful. Full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We got the onion soup and the potato leek soup. For dinner we had the Le Steak and the mussels. So yummy! Other than the noise level, we had a wonderful experience!!

    This visit (one of several) left me less impressed than previous ones. A new appetizer item, the fried "chicken oysters" with black garlic gastrique sounded exciting but in actuality left me wanting more depth of flavor. The lobster bisque in puff pastry was a nice presentation but the bisque itself had too much sherry and was lacking for richness and lobster! Perhaps it was an "off day" for the kitchen. We won't give up on them and we will return to try this restaurant again.
