OpenTable and Lawrys completely destroyed my New Year's Eve and my final dinner in a place that I had dined in many many times. I made my reservation back in June for this night it was confirmed I reached out to the restaurant to be told with a laugh and no compassion that I couldn't have a reservation due to Covid there was dining in I then asked could I pick up my dinner again the gentleman on the line with the restaurant laughed and said no we were sold out 2 weeks ago. Not so much as an apology and offer to see if there was anything possible they could do nothing just him laughing in my face. At this time I'm happy they are gone they have lost the great customer service I knew and loved. And as for OpenTable I'll never use them again

This is am easy one. The restaurant is closed to dinners yet you are still taking reservations. They only do carry out which you also need a reservation for. However we didn't have that because ours was a dining reservation which you set up. So needless to say 3 hour round trip drive and no food. I am extremely angry and will never book through this service again

Lawry’s the Prime Rib was closed. Apparently the restaurants in Illinois and the Illinois Restaurant Association do not have enough backbone to stand up to a tyrannical governor who is destroying businesses and livelihoods. If all Illinois restaurants were on the same page and backed up by their “Association” businesses could be saved and workers could provide for their families. Restaurants jumped through so many hoops and spent money they didn’t even have to comply but were still shut down. Time to stand up for yourselves. People are tired of carry-out and sitting in tents during the winter months. Restaurants were providing a safe environment for their patrons and it still wasn’t good enough. Fight back!

I just gave three stars, aka "average" because there was no meal! The restaurant is closed to inside dining, due to COVID. However, OpenTable keeps asking how it was. I know Lawry's is awesome, and has been on every visit previous.

We made reservations in Oct. and when I called to make sure that they were doing inside dining I was told only take out. I asked why no one called us to let us know (we live 45-60 minutes away & that's why I called 1st) they said that "we can't call EVERYONE who has a reservation"...and WHY NOT???!!! We were VERY disappointed with this experience. The LEAST they could have done was to CALL people with reservations, CHANGE/UPDATE their website AND voice message (what you hear while you wait for someone to answer the phone)!! Since they are closing at the end of this year we were REALLY looking forward to having one LAST meal here. I know that they DON'T have control regarding inside dining restrictions, they DO have control over informing the customer. This is just very bad customer service!!

Lawry’s, the premier restaurant for Prime rib, has suffered along with all other Chicago restaurants under the insufferable leadership of Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot and was closed down by our government. Restaurants should never have been closed. Now Lawry’s is going out of business as are thousands of other restaurants. It is a Travesty. Hopefully Lawry’s will resurrect itself. Plenty of room in Naperville!

Lawry's has long been my parents, wife, and sons favorite resturaunt. Always celebrated my mother's birthday with the corolers for as long as I can remember. I hope they survive the COVID and start up when it is over!

I’m a lifelong Lawry’s fan, and wanted one more Lawry’s experience before this location closed. Unfortunately, not to be. Carlos at the front desk was rude to my wife and daughter while I waited for the valet. Then he was rude to my guest when he checked in! Did not improve from there, the beef was cold and stringy, the side were cold and the Yorkshire pudding was hard and stale. It’s a shame

This was our first visit in several years. The food was just as outstanding as we had remembered. Our server, Covina, was friendly and did an excellent job of answering all our questions. It was a very enjoyable evening.

We've visited Lawry's for years. It's always been our special restaurant. However with the pandemic it's closing permanently very soon. Our visit was just two days before the shutdown. We'll miss the great prime rib, the spinning salad bowl and just the great ambiance of the beautiful mansion where its located.

I set this reservation up for my friend’s 50th birthday. This was his first time at Lawry’s and he and his family were blown away! Lawry’s yet again went above and beyond and they had the best dining experience of their lives. We understand why Lawry’s would move out of Chicago and hopefully will find a home in the suburbs soon.

As a previous fan of Lawry’s my recent dining experience was disappointing - sadly. I wanted to share an opportunity to dine with my mother and celebrate her birthday before they closed permanently. On a positive note, my mother wasn't disappointed because she didn't feel well and had to cancel. Up until now, she has never been to Lawry’s. At first, I was shocked by the news of the closing but now I'm perfectly fine with the decision. Honestly, my curbside experience was better.

It turned out to be a ladies night and it was fabulous! We were greeted with a very handsome, kind and witty young man who matched our high energy and excitement perfectly. We were seated by a wonderful hostess and served by a phenomenal Ms Rogers. She was helpful, funny and right on time! The food was delicious and plentiful as we had no room for dessert. It’s disappointing to hear they are closing. We must go back before they close.

Very disappointed in my last visit to Lawrys. Brady cut prime rib was cut the same as Lawry Cut. Also, only had about 8 bites of meat, the rest was fat and grizzly. No beer selection except Miller lite and Bud Light.

So glad to be able to enjoy Lawry’s before they close permanently. Service is always impeccable. Food is amazing. And with Covid restrictions, I felt safe and at ease the entire time. I am sad to see them leave as we have spent many special occasions celebrating at Lawry’s. If you have the opportunity to go, do it. Highly recommended.

The food and service were spectacular. Everyone we encountered was courteous, friendly and professional. They practiced social distancing measures. Overall we felt safe eating at Lawry’s. The drinks were amazing. Some of us had Prime rib, which child be cut with a fork. Others had salmon or lobster. It was all fantastic.

People were appropriately spaced out. Service was wonderful and food as well. One table in the corner near servers register area should not have had patrons seated there. Very far from restaurant ambiance and too close to a stack of plates, etc. Glad one family insisted on not sitting there.

The food taste amazing. My only problem would be the portion sizes. My first time visiting Lawrys Prime Rib was at the Las Vegas location. I ordered the exact same meal, Lobster bisque and California cut prime and it was delicious, but it felt it was a big difference in the amount I recieved. Overall it was still great, just thought I'd get a little more for the price of the food.

We ate at 6:45 at the 3rd booth- I don't have the servers name, but he was spectacular! Food exceptional as always- Lawry Chicago you will truly be missed!
