   We typically wouldn’t choose to eat such a late dinner, but 8:15 PM was the only time they had available and I really wanted to take my friends to this spot while they were in town. I’ve been once before and had a phenomenal experience. Our dining experience was pretty good. The waitress was polite, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious. The only negative part of our experience was after we paid the bill, an employee of the restaurant (I assume) approached our table rushing us to leave because the DJ was about to start and they needed to push our table to the wall…he was NOT polite about it nor apologetic by any means. It was incredibly rude and my entire party was genuinely flabbergasted that it happened at such a nice place. Had he left us to our own devices, we would have been up and gone in less than 10 minutes. Accommodating his request, however rude, we all got up and waited in the corner while a member of our party of 4 used the washroom and in that time, the other 2 tables in front of the stage were still enjoying their meals and the DJ had not started. I’m truly disappointed by how the night ended and I fear it may have turned me off from returning to this spot in the future.

   The service was good, but our food was cold the wings were cold the corn seemed old. Do not order the Gnocchi it was hot water with truffle oil no other spices….. horrible. The drinks were ok.

   we walked in on sunday afternoon and were told there was no way we could get a table. we looked on open table and saw open reservations for every time slot that night. a little slow service but food was very good!

    It sadden me that I felt that everyone stared at us because we were not from South Carolina. To top it off everyone got up and moved to the patio. We are American with Latin. So sad. This world is never going to change.

    Made a reservation over a week in advance for Mother’s Day weekend brunch but was seated at the worst table right next to the bar work table/silverware tub. It was a very loud and very dark setting—we couldn’t talk to one another. We asked to be seated elsewhere and the hostess very rudely told us that couldn’t be done even though half the tables around us were empty. The food came and was mediocre at best. Only bright spot was our server was polite and prompt. We will never go back.

    Has a very fun vibe. The Nicois salad split was yummy. Mussels were very flavorful with toasted sourdough wit garlic spread. Just a bit too loud for date nite or much conversation - and we were there on Monday

    My husband and I have been going to Prohibition for years. It is a fave date night spot of ours or at least… used to be. I think some changes have been made that we weren’t expecting so it through us off. I put in our reservation on Open Table that this was a date night, and our table that we sat at was placed directly underneath the music speaker. We could hardly hear each other talk! We have always loved the creative selection of entrees, and drinks but this time there were very little choices of entrees. Muscles, 1 pasta dish, steak, “catch of the day”, burger and shrimp & grits. We ordered the Red Pepper dip appetizer & it was amazing! I think they shortened the list of their specialty drinks as well. The food was good. We had the swordfish & Mei muscles. The swordfish was great. The muscles were okay. The red pepper dip was amazing. The only special was the catch of the day. The service was also not our typical experience. We always eat dessert and after we finished our dinner we were asked if we were ready for the check. So, we felt like we were being rushed out - left and ate dessert somewhere else.

    My boyfriend and I planned to eat here on our first night in Charleston. The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. Our waitress was amazing! She was friendly and checked in frequently with us. The food was absolutely wonderful! The fish of the day was swordfish so I decided on that dish with the fried okra, baby potatoes, and corn chowder. It was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the steak which was equally delicious. We split the dessert, and I would have licked the plate had I been at home. Seriously though, stop by Prohibition the next time you are in town.

    Food was good. French toast was crispy which is hard to find. Eggs Florentine were good. Wait staff and kitchen seemed overwhelmed- food took a long time and they seemed to forget about the coffee order The band controlled the sound board but the ratio instrumentation to voice was off.     Go for the drinks! The cocktails are fantastic! The ambience is wonderful! They only had 2-3 servers on a Saturday night so there were running like crazy. Unfortunately the food was cold and subpar. My husbands steak was cool, his sides were cold. My mothers swordfish was hot and good, her potatoes were cold and we never got a spoon for her soup. My pasta was suppose to be in a rich cream sauce but instead was sitting. In oil (and not tasty oil) the pasta tasted as though it had been reheated a time or two. To the point that I’m wondering if it was leftover from dinner the night before. The waiter was kind enough to take my meal off the ticket, I left hungry and a little buzzed from my 2 spicy margaritas.

    Cocktails tasted weak - strong syrup taste, weak taste of the spirits. Took a long time to get drinks, then food delivered surprisingly quick. Atmosphere was lively and fun.

    Waitress was awesome but food was disappointing. Shrimp were probably from a bag of frozen. Worst of all: drink was watered down. Friend's burger was ok. Ambiance was fun and looks like great place to party but I wouldn't eat here!

    The drinks were stellar, the appetizer good. Brussel sprouts were delicious. Main Course, they were out of multiple items. The sword fish was overcooked and salty, the pasta dish was tasteless and our steaks were chewy and fatty with very little flavor. We asked for a substitution on on plate which was the vegetable and they stated that substitutions weren’t available even though there was other vegetables available with other meals. Overall the meals were priced from mid teens to $40 for entrees. We liked the ambiance and differently would recommend the appetizers and drink’s. Family of 4, drinks apps and dinner with tip roughly $300.00. Overpriced for what we purchased.

    Have been to Prohibition a few times for drinks, but this was first time eating there. The food was uniformly excellemt, and that they could work around my nut allergy without problems was much appreciated. The charcuterie board was magnificent and it was great to get a rare steak that was actually rare.
