I brought a friend for lunch and was seated at just the table I hoped for right up by the falls. Our waitress was nice but brought us a chipped plate for our appetizer and held us up for 10–15 minutes while we waited for our To Go drinks and the bill. But we were pleasantly surprised that our split entrée was a very generous serving for each of us with only a three dollar up charge, so that was a big plus. Overall a VERY pleasant experience – thank you!

Booked a dinner for 2 for my wife and myself on our 15th anniversary with high hopes of a 5 star experience at one of the "Most Romantic Restaurants in the World" (CNN). Unfortunately, this is a real estate value restaurant, read: location, location, location. It's right on Falls Park, and that is what I think they bank on. Our table location was fine, looking over the falls, but its surface wasn't clean. The hostess that greeted us was nice, but her clothes were stained. The young lady that seated us was talking the whole time about the "vibe of the political protest," just up the steps at the entrance to Falls Park ... which obviously had nothing to do with our special night. Not a good first look. We ordered cocktails, and my Negroni came out with orange and a cherry ... obviously from 1st glance (not to mention sip) an Old Fashioned. Whatever. Ordered the mussels. They arrived before the plates, spoons, and forks. They tasted great and were actually the highlight of the meal. But service throughout was slack, although smily. Ordered wine, and when it arrived, the server presented, then poured me a taste. I approved, and then she proceeded to fill my glass before my wife's. WRONG order of operations. Mains: My duck was fine, but the portion for $30+ was minimal. My wife's steak frite was even pricier, but a marginally passable cut of strip and fries that obviously came out of a Sysco frozen bag. And why was there chimichuri on a "French" bistro steak? Odd, that. Based on all that, we skipped dessert altogether (even though it was free), paid the tab, and split, both of us saying that we'd likely never be back to what my wife called out as a "tourist trap." Meaning, a "meh" meal and service for top dollar because a river runs through it? Never again.

A super people watching place! Very French in design immediately adjacent to the Liberty Bridge, various artists (caricature sketchers, individual musicians). Very friendly and busy team. Reservations highly recommended - it is busy. A menu presenting French Cafe fare. Great wine list. A place to hang at while experiencing the vibe of Greenville. Thank you Passerelle Bistro.
