Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

I like eating at Liberty. The food is very good even it it's little pricey. The staff & service are superb and I am not a bonafide regular. Excellent fried shrimp & oysters are simple but very difficult to get right. Liberty does these perfectly. The lobster bisque is wonderful. One day I hope to leave room for dessert. :)

We both had a dozen Gulf oysters and a cup of shrimp and seafood gumbo. The gumbo was very salty and only had a few shrimp and no trace of any other seafood. The oysters were OK but they weren’t shucked properly. They were cut up and had several pieces of shell. There was a mixed drink tax that I have never seen before. Overall, we probably wouldn’t return.

Six close friends met to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries! Our entire experience was memorable from entrance to exit! Lynn, mgr, location, free valet via Hosea,ambiance, Dominique - hostess, amazing food, service, and Jamie, waitstaff were the BEST! Special thanks to Jamie! Everyone was professional and pleasant! We had FUN!

We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Our group started off with deviled eggs. The oyster on top was delicious, but the whipped mixture was lacking seasoning/flavor. The lobster bisque was tasty and one of the best bisques I've had in a long time. I also ordered a ceasar salad before my meal, and that was also spot on. My main dish was a special on the menu for that day. It was a lobster pasta with tomatoes. It had a whole tail, plus generous amounts of lobster meat throughout the pasta sauce. It had a nice little kick to it, and the tail was perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We would come back in a heartbeat as everything was fresh and delicious.

I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. The deviled eggs are my favorite! And the Raspberry Bread Pudding is absolutely to die for. Best dessert I’ve ever had !

Our server was focused on other tables more so than ours. I always felt rushed when he was at our table. We had to constantly ask for refills, after trying to get his attention to inform him know our fries were hard, we ended up sending them back. Luckily, this was not our first visit and won’t be our last. We’ll just request a different section/server.

Liberty Kitchen did not have very high reviews, but I decided to give it a try because it's close to the theatre district and we wanted dinner before the orchestra. Don't be deterred by the strip mall that it's located in. We almost turned around, but I'm glad we did not . Free parking in Houston, yes please!!! We ordered the raw oysters, chargrilled Oysters and the deviled eggs for a starter. When I say these were the best deviled eggs I have truly ever had, they were. Just get them! The drinks were tasty and well prepared. The menu is innovative and fresh. Many Houston places have repetitive offerings but we were surprised at the fusions and different pairings.The service from our Waitress Kayla was top notch! In a world where service is lacking. she is a stand out. So nice, friendly and gave excellent recommendations. For the main I had the Lobster roll and my hubby had the red fish. Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING was 10/10. I don't know what potato the chips were made of,but that potato did not die in vain! To top it off the raspberry breadpudding was... In a word, orgasmic. I cannot possibly see why people would not like this place. Cheers to the chef because it was the 2nd best meal we have had in Houston. Thank you so much. We will certainly be back. Amazing food. Great service. Good prices=life long customer!

Sadly this place has taken a dive. The food used to be some of my favorite in Houston. I hadn't been in a couple years till last night and its just not that great anymore. Definitely not worth the price. But our waiter was fantastic!

Had my bday dinner here on 10/7. Exceptional service, awesome selections and quality and great classy casual ambiance. Had the seafood platter with awesome mussels with a chorizo sauce. Delish!! I had the shrimp and scallops with mushroom risotto which was delicious! Had leftovers to enjoy the next day. Everyone enjoyed their entrees- stuffed shrimp, shrimp pasta, seafood salad and the gumbo. Received the bread pudding as my free bday dessert with a sparkler. The desserts are HUGE! Key lime pie was unique with meringue on top. I highly recommend and everyone raved about it and will definitely come back.

My family frequents Liberty Kitchen & Oyster. The food and service today were exceptional. The server was very attentive at refilling our drinks and checked in with us often enough to make sure we were pleased but not too often to be annoying. We will be returning again when our schedules allow.
