For the price, I was not impressed with Yusho and will not go back. The service was great however, so I'm thinking the almost empty dining room on a Friday night was directly related to the value.

Food was great, but service was really slow to get a drink. Had to wait a good 10-15 minutes at our table to get a drink. Then our glasses stayed empty for 15-20 minutes. Otherwise server was very knowledgeable.

I've been to Yusho twice before and when I went on Saturday the menu had changed. Some old favorites were still on the menu but, things like the pickles and the flank steak seemed tired and in need of a revision themselves. I like the cocktails and Sake choices but I think I've gone to Yusho for the last time.

we had a great birthday dinner here for my boyfriend. Wonderful food and service. Cocktails were very delicious. We were seated at our table right away. Food came out quickly and we were very stuffed. What a great meal.

We made it for our second Ramen Battle. Every 4th Sunday of the month, two guest chefs lock horns for top ramen bragging rights. As an out of tower, I am always surprised when there is not a line around the block. This place seems to a Nucleus of the Chicago food scene. We happened to dine at a Michelin starred restaurant on Friday. One of our favorite things to do when traveling is to ask our servers where they would go the following day. If you want an "in" on any local food scene ask a server.....anyway we ask and he says, "there is this Asian place on Kedzie doing amazing stuff...". As luck would have it I already had my reservation at the bar where we could watch the magic unfold..... I have to compliment all of the staff. We stopped off the blue line on our way to the airport. The hostess was more than happy to help us find a place to stow our bags. When choosing our drinks, my wife really likes her red wine at cellar temps. The staff gladly chilled the wine to the temperature she liked. I've eaten here twice and each time the food has been inspired an amazing. I love watching the care this group puts into their fare. The discussions of how much rice to put in a bowl, how long to grill a dish, how to season, etc. It is clear that this staff is working here for much more than to collect a check. My wife and I finished our dinner and we're enjoying a cocktail while watching Yusho's normal chef, Eric Lees, work as an expediter for this special event. I commented to him that if I was opening a restaurant he'd be the first person I'd hire. He was just smooth in everything he did; from handling the orders, to explaining to assistants how he wanted dishes plated, to recognizing when a minor spill needed to be cleaned up. He had the whole group working as a real team. If you haven't dinned at this Logan Square gem, make it a point to get there. I hope to get back there soon...maybe even late on a Saturday ;-)..... a story for another review!

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Yusho. This was the first time we had been to Yusho, but had heard great things from friends, and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and the beverage selection was great. We loved the ambiance of the place and they were able to comfortably accommodate our group of twelve. The staff was very attentive and engaging. The only thing that was slightly less than perfect was the wait between courses for our food. We had delicious pork steamed buns for an appetizer and were hungry for more. There was a slight wait between that and our noodles. Other than that, we loved Yusho and will probably be regulars. Thank you to everyone there for making this birthday celebration easy, comfortable, and delicious!

Fabulous meal. One of my favorite restaurants. The food has never disappointed me. Since I hadn't been there for a while, I read some yelp reviews that were unflattering. They were mostly about the Ramen. We ordered no Ramen and had a terrific Bill. Service was excellent. Ambiance, as always, was superb.

Our 5 course meal was supposed to be paired with drinks and they were behind by 2 drinks. We got a 30 dollar discount Wich was nice but it would've been better to get our drinks. I'm used to restaurants that have one person specifically doing that job.

Overall, the evening at Yusho was good. The brussel sprouts buns were SO delicious; probably the best thing we ordered. We both had the chicken ramen and it was resoundingly fine; I took home the pork ramen for my bf and it was again, fine. I think in the competitive ramen world of Chicago, Yusho is a solid pick for atmosphere and other options on the menu, but the ramen isn't anything to get too excited about.

What a great time! The space is unique and good for small & large groups. Our server was excellent and upbeat. The kitchen was a little behind at times, but the food came out warm & delicious. I hands-down recommend any of the steamed buns. All of the entrees were huge and shareable. Maybe my favorite part was the drink menu. The beer list is interesting and the sake & shochu selections are truly excellent. Will definitely be back!
