   We used to eat here when it was in Culver City and it is just as good. Hard to understand why there aren’t lines out the door.

   This isn’t the same food I remember from the original first location. I came during weekday lunch and ordered the black truffle pasta. I received the pasta dish with white truffle. I didn’t complain tho. The pasta was simply flavorless no truffle cream sauce just olive oil with cuts up pieces of truffle that lost its flavors when being cooked and shaved white truffle on the top. I love truffle have been craving truffle but this wasn’t it. I never Had such a bland pasta dish and this isn’t usual for casa Modena. Total waste of money. Ive had more flavorful truffles dishes at other restaurants. Just a disappointment this was my favorite spot at one time but not sure if the cook was knew or it just went downhill.

   I love taking my friends here. It's so surprising to walk into such an interesting space on the second floor of a strip mall -- and the food is incredble!

   This is a hidden gem-feels like an escape to an eatery in Italy! The food and service was beyond amazing!!!! Best authentic Italian food in LA! Will definitely be going back!

   The hostess was so lovely I really wanted to love this place. The decor was really cool too with eclectic decor. The food just did not measure up. We went for DineLA where they should show off their chef; the caprese salad was nice as were the truffle fries. I had the chicken in mushroom sauce which was tough and overcooked and too salty. my partner had the sea bass with truffles; truffles were good, fish again was overcooked. She had the pasta bolognese which was pretty good; I had the lobster ravioli which were not tasty as the lobster had no flavor and the mild sauce added nothing. She had the chocolate cookie thing which was very good; the panna cotta was also good though small.

    Very disappointed. I had better expectations the fact that I read good reviews about this restaurant and the fact that this is actually in Brentwood. I chose this place for a Birthday celebration of business colleagues but regretted choosing to go here instead of the usual Brentwood restaurants that I go to. It was dark and gloomy with too many “stuff” surrounding the dining area which looks more like a liquor store than a restaurant. Service was super slow and the owner was the only one as a server/ host/ receptionist all in one and there was one cook in the kitchen. There was only us 3 in the dining area with no other guests (not suprised) but the service was super slow! Food was mediocre. Would t go back here again!
