With a true smile and the genuine desire to take care of you while you’re “in our house”, Alta Strada will focus on the foods of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, and the Amalfi coast, while attempting to fill the much needed gap in Italian restaurants in America.                                                     The restaurant is fairly busy most of the hour. The menu is not large but has something for everyone. All the items we have tried over numerous visits have been very good, fully portioned, and always arrive out of the kitchen hot. The staff seems to have little turnover which is always a good sign. There is free parking in the lot behind the building with a patio in the back as well. Addition metered parking is on the street. Metered parking fees are Monday through Saturday 8am to 5 or 6pm.

                                                    We are sorry to report that the clams in pasta dish (vongele) we both ordered was very disappointing compared to the last time we ordered it. This being said the staff and management were great and offered to replace the dishs with whatever we wanted and ultimately comped us for the entrees. We don't know if the recipe has changed or the chef just messed up.

                                                    The staff members were all exceptional. They responded quickly to every request we had for high chairs and accommodations for our two young children. They were kind and attentive. The food was delicious—everything we ordered from appetizers to drinks to our entrees was perfect. The ambiance is comfortable but elegant, and the noise level was lower than expected — we could hear each other and it didn’t create any anxiety or over-stimulate the kids. This is a favorite restaurant, we highly recommend, and we will be back.
