About this restaurant

Chateau Hanare roughly means “a cottage apart”; the brainchild of Reika Alexander of EN Japanese Brasserie in the West Village. EN has been a NY mainstay in Japanese Haute Cuisine for over 14 years, and Chateau Hanare is bringing that sensation to LA.

Hanare specializes in traditional Japanese food; focused on Kaiseki (our 6 course tasting). With its origins in Zen Buddhism, kaiseki is an art form that balances taste, texture, appearance and colors of food. The ingredients are strictly based on seasonality and each course in served in very specific order, priming the body and palate; beginning with delicate starters and ending with hearty, comfort foods.
