   My brother and his wife were in from San Francisco and, having had wonderful dinners previously at Harvest, Bricco and Max Oyster, we decided to try one of the newer WH Center restaurants and Union Kitchen was suggested. We were initially surprised to see the restaurant almost completely empty (there were a few diners at the outside tables) on Sunday evening of Memorial Day Weekend when then Center was teeming with people. We were greeted and shown to a booth right away and drink orders taken although my wife was hunting for a parking space and didn't join us for a few minutes. Although our waitress brought the drinks for the three of us, she disappeared for a long enough time after my wife got there that I got up and went looking for her so we could order some wine for my wife. Entrees were OK but not distinguished. I had the pasta bolognese which was warm but not hot on arrival although my wife's small steak skewer was quite tasty and she enjoyed her salad. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was delicious but the whole experience was somewhat disappointing. With the number of restaurants in West Hartford Center competing for diners, I think UK has to up its game to remain a player.

   Excellent food and service. Unique menu. Duck breast was fabulous and vegetarian/pescatarian options were tasty and filling. Would definitely return.

   Such a nice spot to have a meal out, where you can get cozy apps but try something new for dinner at the same time. The staff is really nice, and they actually care about you getting excellent service which is so rare these days. Would highly recommend, especially at least once a season so you can try their inventive dishes and enjoy their inviting atmosphere.

   We had the chef’s tasting menu. It was delicious! Pairing each course with a different wine elevates the already wonderful meal to an experience. Trust this chef. Our server was extremely well informed guiding us expertly through each course. Best meal I’ve had outside of Manhattan.

   We always enjoy our visits to UK; love the urban vibe it has, the new menu is very interesting. Fabulous wine list, I had a lovely Spanish Guimaro wine, and my dining companion had her usual Chardonnay, which she said was very good. We shared the interesting though somewhat insubstantial artichoke Al Forno, which was tasty; She had the short ribs (Yummy, I tried them) and I had the Pork Chop, which was very good and enormous. I should have taken some home, but sadly I didn't. We finished up with a solid rendition of carrot cake, a personal favorite. As always, the place is loud, though on a very rainy night not too crowded. Loved the personal touch of being greeted personally by the manager, btw. Always a good time to be had at UK, and as always attentive service.

   This was our second time at Union Kitchen and again, it did not disappoint. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambience is upbeat. We enjoy the creativity of the menu items which include both small plates and entrees--we did a combination of both. The dessert we ordered was scrumptious too! We also appreciate the extensive wine and spirits menu which boasts a solid variety of bourbons and whiskeys. We will definitely be back!

   Great food, great service. The current menu has so many great-sounding options. We went with octopus tacos and salmon crude apps followed by the duck breast entree. Absolutely delicious. I asked for help choosing wine for the duck entree and was very pleased with what was recommended.

    We had a lovely Sunday brunch seated near the open window wall. The service was attentive but never rushed and everything we ordered was excellent. This was a wonderful place to enjoy a celebration brunch and we will definitely return when we are in the area again.

    Fabulous Saturday brunch—Saturday!—with a unique food and drink menu that did not disappoint. We sat in a booth with fresh air from the open windows overlooking street seating. Service was marvelous; Anthony & Dylan took excellent care of us. Kitchen presented two wonderful small plates to start us off, followed by three different brunch dishes. Remarkable wine list, for the oenophiles reading this. Highly recommended!

    First time...a fairly limited number of options on the menu. Bar looks more interesting than the kitchen. Service was superb, but food was so-so. Worth a try, but I didn't taste a persuasive reason to go back.

    After trying the winter 2023 tasting menu, my friend and I had to come back for the spring menu. We were not disappointed! The portions are perfect for a five-course meal, and the wine pairings are always interesting & thoughtful. We love hearing the details about why a specific wine was picked, etc. It definitely feels like dinner and a “show”! We’ll be back for the summer & fall menus!

    We went for brunch on Sunday, appetizer menu although limited was unique. Our brunch entree was tasty. We ordered a side of their version of home fries, very delicious! Truffled eggs Benedict perfectly cooked. An overall enjoyable meal. SD

    Love to eat at Union Kitchen. Great food. Good vibes. Excellent wine list. Vish has incredible knowledge about the food as well as his wines and one feels like he is hosting you at his house (and that is a good thing).

    We go to Union Kitchen quite a bit, and we've only had great experiences! Anthony remembered what my daughter wanted to drink, and he's been a super waiter. The food was phenomenal and the menu changes at a perfect frequency. Go here and you'll become repeat diners like us!

    We typically go to Union Kitchen on the earlier side since it’s much easier with a young child. They’re super accommodating to us whenever we take our child, and the food and service is always top notch.

    Husbands birthday! What a great find! I knew this recommendation had to be good! But….. it was GREAT 💕 Amazing dinner Union Kitchen! Food was amazing flavors awesome! Duck prosciutto, artichoke al forno truffle with brioche croutons - yum, octopus taco, shrimp, chicken pasta MOREL mushrooms 💕so delicious! Service was great!     We enjoyed our Easter dinner there- we changed our reservations from 6:30 to 7 PM so my husband can try to finish watching the masters and they stayed open to accommodate those eating late on Easter which was very nice.

    I can definitely tell Union Kitchen has a new chef. The food was amazing. Impressive menu and presentation. Carrot soup was absolutely delicious, as was the baby gem salad and the spaghetti alla nerano. The flavors were all unique and it was a pleasant surprise in the same-iness of the restaurants in town. Service was also fantastic. West Hatfird’s new gem!

    The wine pairing menu was fantastic! Very different and interesting pairings and the wine guy gave details about each wine that we loved. All the food and wines were great if you have an adventurous palate. We will definitely return.

    The food is delicious. It's fresh and appears that the menu changes according to the seasons. The ambiance is very nice with subtle, not too bright lighting and nicely decorated. Interesting that there are no TVs either. It's a good size so people are not too cramped. Definitely a place we'll eat at again.

    Had not come back to Union Kitchen in several years - but heard about new chef and tasting menu and decided to give it a try. We truly enjoyed the tasting menu paired with wine - Vish was a wealth of knowledge regarding the wine pairing, and you could tell he loved what he was doing. It was a very busy night, but he came by the table with each course to talk about the food and wine. We were favorably impressed - and much better value compared to the tasting we had a Metro Bis in Simsbury. We will come back again as the tasting menu changes with the seasons!
