Built in 1927, Fig313 stands today as an original historical landmark of San Clemente, with a history that is meant to be shared with its seaside community. Carefully constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, distinctive design features include red-tile roofs, white stucco walls, hand-crafted windows and arches, painted tiles, and open-air courtyards.

Originally owned for the first 33 years by John and Jeanette Riley, 313 El Camino Real was renowned as Riley’s Waffle and Coffee Shop. Legend has it that actor John Wayne frequented the restaurant for a hearty American breakfast along with many travelers from all over the world. From 1960 on, Riley’s Café would change ownership many times, evolving into a furniture store, French restaurant, tequila company, and catering business. In 2012, the current owners purchased the property and began renovations and restoration, while staying true to the integrity of the original style.

You have to try the burger it is the best in town!!! We enjoy going there on Fridays before the weekend rush. Ask for Mike you will get excellent service with amazing food!

Had a fantastic experience! The food was of great quality and served in a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Prices were very reasonable, and the cocktails were well-balanced and full of flavor. Don’t leave without trying the fig cake for dessert — it’s an absolute must-have!

I wish I could say this was an excellent experience. I wanted to love this restaurant, especially when I got the bill, but my order was not correct, and what my companions ate was just so-so. Cocktails were tasty but watered down. The staff knew of the mix up and gave us dessert on the house since I had to wait another 10-15 to eat while the other guests ate their food. Just meh....

This was our second visit here and the food was even better than the first. Service was flawless. Lychee martini was to die for. Great spot for dinner.

Ask for Mike he’s amazing!! Great suggestions!! The filet you could cut with a butter knife. The burger was packed with favor and fig jam. Will definitely be back soon. 💫⭐️💫

This was our third time here and it has never disappointed us. The food is exquisite and the service impeccable. We love being able to dine with no loud music or have to shout over other diners' conversation. We ate inside this time but have also dined on the lovely patio. Fig 313 is our new go-to in San Clemente.
