Welcome to the Crossroads, where Kansas City comes together. An evening at Lazia begins at the hearth with a complimentary house amaro blend as the sound of hip hop's greatest legends fill the room. The menu is both familiar and surprising in its selection of Italian favorites. It offers a collection of Cicchetti and Antipasti to start your meal; an expertly prepared and seasonal selection of handmade, fresh pastas; a satisfying collection of Secondi; and few moments of surprise & delight!

Named for another Crossroads O.G. and pal of Pendergast, Johnny Lazia, our dinner-only restaurant sits at the Crossroads of Italian culinary inspiration and the farms and fields of the Heartland in the Midwest.

We are currently open 7 days a week from 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Valet Parking for Lazia guests is $9, but street parking is also available.

This evening, art will be on your plate, in the gallery, and around the table. An experience to remember. Start with a sip of amaro as you wander Lazia’s hidden gallery, where the Heidmann’s thematic collection invites you to venture into a new perspective. Then, wander the candle-lit dining room for a progressive, grazing menu that echoes the night’s theme. After grabbing a few bites, slip into a seat for cocktails and conversation with friends. With a setting this active, art sneaks into every corner of the evening. For the second edition, theme Il Postino sets the scene - the postman delivers a letter from the senses. Join us as we explore the power of the written word. The meal is the message. Allow us to satiate your appetite for art. WHAT IS INCLUDED: ✔ Exclusive entry to Appetite for Art, Lazia’s private art event, alongside the Heidmann Art Salon’s gallery, IL POSTINO. ✔ An all-inclusive, chef-curated stationed menu alongside a paired wine sampling menu and a welcome sip of amaro. ✔ An evening of art, flavor, and conversation in an intimate, one-night-only setting.

We had a reservation for 615, after taking our drink and food orders we didn’t see our waitress again for 45 minutes. It took until 815 for our food to arrive at the table. We had ordered at 640…… I have never in my life waited this long for my food. Our waitress, who I had to approach multiple times, seemed to purposely avoid our table because she knew we were frustrated. Our food was phenomenal though, very high quality taste and ingredients, but over priced for portions.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was mindfully made. We had never eaten at Lazia before and were excited to try it for our anniversary dinner. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars was due to it taking 25 minutes before a server waited on us. We mentioned it once a server finally arrived and he apologized and gave us our first glass of wine on the house. We appreciated him trying to make our experience better. The focaccia bread was to die for. I’d honestly come back for the bread!

This was the 4th time I have eaten here: once a year since 2022. The first time was unforgettable. It was the night I got engaged and our experience at Lazia was absolutely amazing. The next two times were similar; however, this last time was a bit less amazing. The service was great, as usual. We noticed a decrease in overall quality with the food. It is still good, but not as good as it has been in the past. The over-salted food was disappointing. The menu has also been cut down and the overall experience was not quite as astounding as before. It felt more superficial than our previous experiences there. Until now, I would always recommend Lazia to everyone. I always had delightful stories to tell others. Now, not so much. It wasn't a bad experience, but it just isn't the same as it was. I would still recommend it, just not so energetically as before.
