We came here to celebrate a birthday. We had a couple of appetizers and two delicious entrées, although I felt that both of them were just a little bit too salty for my taste. Our waitress Shay was really wonderful and patiently answered a lot of questions. She also gave a really good overview of the truffle pasta. We gave it a try and loved it! And a surprise at the end of our meal was a panacotta with a birthday candle. I would definitely go back!

Cucciolo Osteria in Durham truly blew me away! The shrimp pasta was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and rich without being too heavy. Every bite was a dream! The service was just as impressive—impeccable from start to finish, with a team that was attentive, warm, and made us feel so welcomed. And let’s not forget the cocktails—so refreshing and well-balanced. This place knows how to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

The pastas and the steak are phenomenal. Love that I can nearly always get a seat at the bar. Also really enjoyed the beet salad!

Kitchen didn’t keep up with the order, meal for both of us arrived piecemeal. The salad was way over dressed - more dressing than lettuce. The bread was stale. My pasta dish was bland, and I was never offered grated cheese for the top. Prices were high. Probably would not go back.

Our server, Brandon, was stellar. He knew the menu perfectly, could easily explain ingredients, and was personable and patient . Everything about our service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their entre and especially the beet salad and pate appetizers. Due to the decor (exposed brick walls, very high ceiling) and close quarters, it was difficult for our group "of a certain age" to hear. The first time I was there we were seated in the front corner and that was a much better choice which I will request next time, or perhaps the outdoor patio.

We were very excited to try but were not impressed. Service was spotty. Sat for quite some time before anyone even acknowledged us….long enough to peruse drink and dinner menu and make our choices. Once waitress arrived she didn’t even attempt to take a drink order. She was only going to drop water and leave. Bruschette and prosciutto were delicious. When entrees arrived, we wanted to order some bread with our pasta but waitress didn’t check on us until we were finished with our meals. Bolognese sauce was on point and perfectly balanced. However, my halibut had a very strong fish odor. Tiramisu and gelato were very good. Overall, disappointing experience and will not be back
