Tableau was lovely. We sat on the balcony, which was a little, noisy and narrow but you get to see your beautiful view of Jackson Square. Service was great and food was delicious! I would definitely eat here again!

Service was great - we were able to get our request of seating on the balcony, and had a great view of Jackson Square. The ambience was loud but fun for people watching. The two of us ordered the Fried Oysters, Duck Gumbo, and the Pasta Bouillabaisse to split - we said that splitting the dishes wasn't necessary, but our server wisely split the gumbo and pasta, two dishes that it would have been difficult to share. The fried oysters were excellent, and the gumbo was savory and good, but the bouillabaisse was incredibly gritty. While the flavor was good and the seafood was cooked well, every other bite had sand in it. Service was attentive, and we were touched to be comped a creme brulee in honor of our celebration. Overall, a good choice for location, but would probably just stick to appetizers next time.

Great service, clearly professional. Menu is short but efficient. NOLA native, food is flavorful and on par with expectations of a brunch restaurant in jackson square. Added extra accomodations and they were right on task. Absolute perfection, anybody reading this and interested should just make the decision already and go eat here!!!!

They were out of both bottles of wine I ordered. They brought me something off menu that was not worth the $130 they charged me. I looked up the wine online and it retails for $50. Lost our order and took over an hour to get our food. Food was not good. This restaurant is not what it once was.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Tableau on our visit to New Orleans. The staff we encountered that evening were very courteous and helpful, but James, our server, was EXCEPTIONAL!!! His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were impressive. Every menu item we experienced that evening left us with a desire to visit the Crescent City more often, just to eat at this terrific restaurant. We started with Fried Oysters as our appetizer, followed by Trout Almondine and the Pasta Boulliabaise, then finishing off our dinner with the most delectable Crème Brûlée you could ever imagine. Like I said, we will be back for more!!! And we will definitely be requesting James as our server.

Overall, the experience was good. I was with a party of 4. We all enjoyed our meals. However, one person had a entrée (the pork dish) with overcooked veggies. It didn't distract from the meal, but it was a bit surprising given that everything else was great. The Mother's Day serenade was especially nice.

Our wait staff took care of us from start to finish. He took his time and outdid himself when realizing I was celebrating my birthday and gave us a surprise birthday cake. It was really sweet and a good start with my birthday celebration

Amazing! Food was delicious and service impeccable. Restaurant came as a recommendation and did not disappoint. We had the Gumbo and French onion, fish was sheepshead and server recommended adding a crab topping… amazing! The shrimp and grits were the best we have had. Bouillabaisse pasta was full of flavor . Ended with brûlée which did not disappoint! Sat on the balcony and the ambiance was perfect!

We got to sit outside on the top balcony which was really nice and the best part about the dinner. We had the truffled crab claws which were ok. The French onion soup was the star of the show. I had the pork tenderloin and my boyfriend had the seafood pasta dish. Both were lacking flavor and for all the great spots in New Orleans, we won’t be back.

The service was a train wreck, food was mediocre, but the balcony was amazing. The servers brought us the wrong item twice and messed up orders at nearby tables as well. We were there for 2 1/2 hours which we didn’t mind us first because Jackson Square below us was very entertaining, but after waiting 45 minutes for a drink, we started losing our patience. The food was just OK, and for the same price, we had a much much better meal at Brennan’s the night before. We would not return.
