   The food was excellent with only one or two dishes falling short of the overall extremely high standard. I was a bit disappointed that there was no story. I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for years under the impression that the tasting menu comes with a story woven throughout the dishes, but this wasn't the case. Just a couple of forgettable comments about how the chef likes sunday roasts or played football as a kid. We still enjoyed the meal very much and the tasting menu felt generous by london standards.

   Celebrated birthday dinner here. Incredible staff who were attentive, and the food was impeccable and beautifully presented. Overall a lovely experience! Would recommend!

   Excellent dinner at restaurant story. The food was creative and the wine pairing was incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is relaxed but still very special. The service was attentive and unobtrusive, really great team!

   An incredible meal as always - highlights a delightful sharp scallop and apple salad; exquisite potato espuma, egg yolk and caviar; and perfectly balanced girasole ravioli with parmesan and minestrone. And then of course the Paddington Bear - the best single mouthful I've eaten anywhere. A brilliant balance of execution and inventiveness.

   Went Saturday lunchtime with my two grown-up sons for a birthday celebration. We didn't quite know what to expect, but everything we read sounded terrific and we were very excited. What an amazing afternoon. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY!! We benefitted from the tremendous experience of sommelier Jash, who selected some truly exceptional American wines, and later his colleague Sean. We were served by Anja and Lucie, who were both charming and attentive, but also knowledgable on the menu. Finally, we got to meet Executive Chef, Tom Phillips, who was just as amazing as his reputation. The dishes were absolutely sublime. Watching the kitchen work so professionally was, itself, a great treat. The meal was delicately balanced and perfectly executed. Of the 8 courses (also there was a welcome consomme, canapes and "half time oranges!!) our favourites were (i) the scallop crudo with cucumber, apple and tiger's milk, (ii) roasted sea bass with braised fennel and shrimp, and (iii) citrus with lemongrass, marshmallow and story oil. WHAT AN ADVENTURE!! Story is now part of our family's special story. This was worth every penny and we would love to go back. (One of my sons is now desperate to become a sommelier!)

   One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Tom P and his whole crew were faultless from start to finish. The food was exceptional and the service matched it. A true Story to tell. I can’t wait to go back in the near future. Thank you x

   How to describe our experience at Restaurant Story London? Remarkable, surprising, exquisite... or maybe reduce it to just one of the most delightful, delicious, delicate (more on that later) dinner experiences we've had in five decades of eating in fine restaurants. Chef Tom and his kitchen conjure up eight courses, each outdoing the last in terms of flavour, complex yet always delicate and perfectly balanced. From the "rabbit sandwich" to what they euphemistically call the "potato soup" (a heavenly concoction of ham and brunoise vegetables, and yes including potatoes) topped with a parmesan foam and a teasing of sustainably sourced caviar, the level of culinary skill on display, technical and artistic is second to none. The quality of the food is matched by the professionalism, warmth, and engagement of the front of house. In a relatively short time, Story has earned 2, well-deserved, Michelin stars. They must surely be well on their way to a third. To all the staff, thank you for an awesome evening of the most incredible dining, we will most certainly be back. À bientôt!

    I love Story as much now as I did when I first dined there over a decade ago. The attention to detail is as good as ever and the sommelier’s presentation of the wine pairings was such fun.
