Loved Trading Post, exceptionally friendly staff, food was excellent, we highly recommend this establishment and seating is not crammed close to each other if your worried about catching a bug at this time, plenty of 'space'.

If you are looking for a 2-3 page dinner menu this is not the place for you. Dinner menu is set & quite compact. Price is reasonable given the fact the ingredients are sourced daily & locally. The food is great. As a starter we had a Caesar salad ($13) to share since it's meal on it's own the mushroom potato croquettes are to die for and the tamarind steak house it's very good. I had the Fried Chicken Thighs ($17), chicken was lightly breaded and cooked well through but not dry. Chicken thighs were pretty big. It comes with pickles which I'm not a fan of but then it's not a deal breaker. The endive coleslaw was great too. Make sure to try their pudding with the Moscato d'Asti dessert wine. It's delicious!!

We had the perfect Valentine's dinner and loved the food, wine and service. Our first courses so good we had to share with each other. Mine was crab cakes with a decadent avocado salad, Paul's was a celery root soup with friend truffles and lemon oil. For our entree we both had a decadent filet with amazing cognac cream sauce with capers, perfectly cooked broccoli rabe and scalloped potatoes. The accompanying wine was a gorgeous Beaujolias which paired great throughout the meal. Our dessert was a trio of profiteroles, each with their own pastry cream - chocolate, rose and orange. We ate every bite (a rarity for me!). The waitstaff and management were very attentive and personal and even though the restaurant was busy, the noise level was low and we never felt rushed. This place is a farm-to-table gem worth making a special trip to Cloverdale. We want to come back to experience their Sunday brunch asap.
