Owner Donnette Hansen's attention to detail is reflected in everything from the comfortable refined log cabin setting & landscaped grounds to the seasonally changing menus. Insider's tip: go for the business lunch ($19 for three courses). Sophisticated but not stuffy! Menu hits include elk chops, grilled buffalo tenderloin, smoked rainbow trout caviar topped tater tots and Lodge smoked duck gumbo.     Our first brunch at Rainbow Lodge and were not disappointed. Food, service, ambience met and exceeded our expectations. The pecan sticky buns were outstanding and could be a meal by themselves. I ordered the brisket hash and asked for the eggs over medium well (dislike runny eggs) and when the dish arrived at the table, it was obvious the eggs were barely over-easy. Lothar, our waiter, took the dish back to the kitchen. When he returned a few minutes later, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The other three dishes arrived as ordered and nothing was left by the time we finished. Well worth a return visit.

    Great place for a birthday dinner date. The service is wonderful. Save room for dessert and go with the bread pudding, it’s delicious.

    There was quite an Easter crush this year. It didn’t seem to phase the team at all. The service was excellent as was the food. It was a lovely way to spend Easter.

    The Rainbow Lodge is an institution. It is known for its food and service. Today, however, was not its day. The food was great, but the service was deplorable. One of the worst experiences I have ever had waiting on food service. The wheels truly fell off the bus. The manager tried making up for it, and I appreciate her efforts. That said, over three hours for brunch, with more than 75 minutes between appetizers and the mains is unacceptable. For a restraunt of this caliber, they should do better.

    Easter brunch was horrible experience, the time it took for the food to arrive was enough to fly to Europe and back. Entire day was waisted. Never again for Easter brunch.

    We were there for Easter Lunch, and it was a delightful time. The menu was great, and our waiter was very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for two-plus hours!

    Usually my experience here is good, but no going again on Easter. Should not take almost 2 hours for lunch, we sat almost an hour to get our meal. Waitstaff is fine, but that took way too long. Food was good however.
