As always, food is delicious. Great variety of menu choices. Love the guacamole and dates stuffed with chorizo and manchego.
Good food but very loud. It was hard to have a conversation.
Phenomenal margaritas and guacamole. Loved the Selena jams!
The restaurant is beautiful. The host, the server, the bartender who provided me with help before the restaurant was even officially open and the man who bussed our table and wrapped our leftovers, each and every one behaved as if they had never met such a fascinating group of people. They could not have been more delightful. The menu is interesting and includes good vegan options. The food is delicious with large portions and beautiful presentation. I can't wait to go back!
Food was very good. They had a separate vegetarian menu. I would have rated this higher but it was very loud. We had a large group right behind us who were clearly celebrating. We were looking for a romanic dinner but could hardly hear each other.
My favorite is the Tostada Ensalada. Last couple of visits the shell wasn't up to par, so I mentioned this to our server. The result was perfect!
Service was very slow in the beginning, probably because of limited staffing before 6 pm. Service improved later and food is excellent.
We are semi-regular patrons of "Reposado", and in general like the food, the service, and the ambiente. This time we brought a bottle of wine to share and were shocked by the corkage fee of $ 30.00! Bringing your own still beats the prices for a glass of wine, but in general the prices are above average. It is Palo Alto - so we have decided to afford it once in a while, but the corkage fee might be a non-starter for the future
My food was excellent, although the prices for drinks were out of line. It was a nice night, but I don't expect to make this a "go to" place.
Been there several times and this was the best visit! Great service, all of us enjoyed our meals, and the manager was floating around checking in on the customers. We were there at 6:30 on a Saturday night and the noise level was good. It’s been louder. Portions were more generous than I remember. Kind of pricey but overall a fun night with my sister and her hubby.
Would recommend it for the quality of the food and drink. Service had some painful gaps, and the noise is deafening (and we were in the quietest area - the booths on the other side of the bar from the main restaurant).
Pretty good food but they charge for chips and salsa !!! Are you kidding how cheap can a restaurant be? Chips and salsa should be free like all of the Mexican restaurants
Was alright. Came for a birthday celebration and I made that notation when I booked and our server never mentioned anything. Food was good.
The low point of the night was the sticky table surface -- like it was dirty. Even the menus stuck to the tables. Our server explained that the finish on the wooden table tops was permanently sticky and no amount of cleaning could fix it. Yick. On the plus side, the food was excellent, as was the service. One should know it is a VERY noisy restaurant when full, so come early if you want to carry on a conversation at dinner without screaming at your companions.
Great food.staff are very accommodating about special requests.the atmosphere is very lively.
I went here with family during my first ever trip to Palo Alto to visit them, and it definitely did not disappoint! The ambiance was authentic, rustic, and absolutely beautiful and the food was fantastic. Our server was prompt and friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu, and the margaritas were FABULOUS. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to any friends or family who visit Palo Alto!
Food is excellent, service at first overly attentive then very sslow. They then asked us to leave before we were ready to make room fir an incoming party, which unpleasantly ended our evening. $$$ but great quality
Super rude folks. We had to walk out of the restaurant, and won’t be returning again.
The atmosphere is fun, the food is great, the service was excellent, the prices are a bit high for the type of restaurant it is, but the noise level was unbearable. The music was at an OK level when we arrived, but 20 minutes in it was cranked up, way up. Our waitress said she couldn't do anything about it. Sitting next to each other, we had to shout to be heard.
Overly priced for quality and quantity
Always love coming here when I am in Palo Alto. I love that the menu lists common allergens in each dish and LOVE their dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu (I'm vegetarian). Service is excellent and my friend and I were there on a remarkably quiet Saturday for lunch. The dishes are creative, fresh and flavorful. The drinks are fabulous. The ambiance is great for families, friends, dates, large groups and solo diners. I highly recommend Reposado and look forward to my next meal there.
Food was delicious, service a little slow, noisy as always (but we knew that)!
Very good food and the service was excellent. The restaurant is aimed at the college and early 20s market, and the noise level is very high, due to cement walls and hard surfaces all around. I think the place does what it was designed to do, though we prefer a much quieter setting. That's a matter of personal taste, of course, and if you like a place with excellent food and a loud buzz, this could be the place for you.
Service was amazing! Cordial on top of it. Waiter was honest with food recommendations. Food was delicious! From Appetizers, entrees to dessert...
Requested a window seat, lovely weather outside and service was prompt. Food as always as excellent.
Great atmosphere and service. Food is decent but seems to be overpriced. Margaritas weren’t anything special. Probably wouldn’t go back unless friends requested to go there. My waiter was great though so service is not lacking.
Disappointing. We have been longtime fans of Reposado, but were truly disappointed this time. Guacamole was bland and had an odd waxy flavor. Vegetarian enchiladas were flavorful but heavy on the cheese with paltry amount of vegetables. Also prices had jumped dramatically since last time, which was a bit of a shock. :(
It was all good. Loved it! Will go again soon. Nice, light and airy!
good food and service, drinks were disappointing, and overall very expensive.
Our server, Crystal was excellent and totally tuned in to us (80 + year old ladies).
Nice downtown Palo Alto setting. Food is OK. Aspires to be gourmet Mexican but falls short. Very expensive for what it is.
Father’s Day dinner with husband and daughters. Wonderful meal!
I've only been to Reposado one other time before. The first time, the experience was delightful, but quite expensive for the amount of food we ordered.
This time around, we went for Father's Day with a larger group and the experience was very pleasant. Having made the reservation, our table was all ready for us by the time of arrival. The waitress was attentive and super polite. The food was delicious, but there were some questionable sauces that were a bitter. My only complaint was that our water glasses and glass with ice in it had a strong seafood smell to it; like it wasn't thoroughly washed. My family are big water drinkers and that was the most noticeable thing.
Otherwise, I would return for a special occasion here.
Went for Father's day (to be honest we reserved late so didn't have many options), and were pleasantly surprised! The decor was hip, space was large, and the atmosphere was lively but definitely not loud. The food was solid and service was good. They could redo the bathroom but it wasn't terrible - just a bit out of the way (upstairs). Would return!
We went for father's day brunch. I ordered the crab omelette, kids had a breakfast burrito and my husband had the steak and eggs. We had shrimp empanada for appetizer, that was really good. The only really good thing on the menu we tried. The omelette was nice and full of crab. But that was it, just crab, asparagus and bell peppers but VERY little cheese and no seasoning flavor. My husband said the eggs were good and had flavor but the steak was very bland, you need to drown in salsa to get flavor. The kid's burrito was filled with eggs and barely any bacon. Our bill was $200 after a mediocre meal. Definitely not worth it.
Absolutely no accommodations to menu. You can remove ingredients but not replace them. Ie creamed corn for plain veggies
Went there before a concert in late afternoon. The waiter was excellent. We went with our friends from LA who are Mexican food aficionados, and they thought it was top notch. Two of us had small plates. Chicken mole was very good. Definitely have the guacamole for an appetizer. Tasty chips and nice sauces. Definitely a repeat.
Great food and decent service but wow is this place loud. Not a great place for a business dinner as we found out due to the volume. Nonetheless great food - better option for when you have family night and can bring the kids.
I have been to Reposado several times and have never regreted a visit. The chorizo filled bacon wrapped dates was the HIT...keep'em coming. The shrimp and rice definitely an honorable mention. Our waitress was lovely. The entire staff are very attentive.
Already looking for an occassion to go back.
We were very disappointed with our experience at Reposados. This is our go-to restaurant for special occasions but no more.
We were seated at a picnic table with a table cloth squeezed between tables. The food portions were the same size as the appetizers but 3x the cost.
Not the best experience.
