Great good, value and service! Had the autumn lunch menu and Andrew and the team really looked after us! Thank you for a fabulous afternoon we will be back!

Lovely food , smart restaurant. Very enjoyable, but the road up to the restaurant is very narrow and bumpy . If you come across another car it’s a nightmare .

This has quickly become our favourite cafe. The whole decor, atmosphere and experience have been perfect once again. The food is stunning, and feels like great quality ingredients which are lovingly prepared. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and just have a lovely calm and welcoming manner. Nothing feels too much. Even our little dog was personally catered for, which was a lovely thought. What a gem-we will be back soon!

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Rum Fox to experience the afternoon set menu which was delightful. The restaurant, bar and service areas are immaculate and a credit to the management. We were greeted by a young lady who immediately escorted us to our table. We ordered our drinks from a very competitive drinks menu and browsed the set menu which offers a choice of 2 or 3 courses. I opted for the 3 course menu examples of which can be viewed online. The food was excellent, served by staff who were both friendly and efficient. There is a 10% discretionary service charge, which goes to the staff and we were happy to pay. We would recommend a visit.

A very special smart pub-restaurant, with lovely ambiance, carefully decorated, fires burning. The service was exemplary and very professional yet personal, coordinated quietly by Rachel, we were ushed to a great table upstairs and our waitress, Maisy, too was excellent. Casual and friendly, but attentive. The food was beautifully cooked, both the venison and lamb steaks cooked to perfection, and the rhubarb & berry crumble was exceptional, (even for non dessert eaters, on the whole). I can highly recommend The Hawthorn, and will most certainly be back.
