    Redstone is our go to place with friends and family for a good time and special occasions. This visit was nothing but disappointing, the food was nothing to brag about. The Parmesan Crusted Walleye use to come with a fabulous cream sauce it now comes with a small container of tartar sauce, both meals of the walleye was burned on one side and of course was platted burned side down. The short rib use to come with a gravy sauce that was delicious with the potatoes/meat and asparagus on the side, it now comes in a bowl of au juice that has terrible tasting tomatoes and the asparagus cut up into pieces in it, the potatoes sit on top of the juice with the short rib on top, this was a horrible idea by management to change these two items. The first short rib I received was dry and was returned, second one was great. If you do decide to get this ask for the au juice on the side. The manager came over and the three of us received a dessert to share of the inconvenience. Unfortunately after this experience we will not be back, we wish them luck. When I could get a reservation time last minute on a Saturday night for any time I wanted should have been a sign. The only reason I’m giving this the stars I am is because the wait staff is always great.

    Atmosphere great. Service lacking (unusual, we normally have fabulous service here), walleye and salmon fabulous. Meatloaf - well let’s just say it is not the same as what it originally was, too bad - used to be fresh and amazing.

    We arrived on time and were seated promptly. Our waiter was knowledgeable about menu items and attentive when needed. Food was great and came out fast and correct.

    Thought it was a nice restaurant worthy for birthday celebration. Turns out it's just a casual dining spot with outdated seating and very mediocre food. Will not go back.

    Party of 6 at 6 pm on Thursday July3rd. Had reservations and were seated right away and given menus. Then the wait started. 12 -14 minutes for the waitress to come to our table to take our drink orders. She did not introduce herself but greeted us pleasantly. It took 13 minutes for the drinks to arrive- the drinks were delivered by other servers. Then we waited another 12-13 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our food order. Another 55 minute before the food arrived (brought by other servers), no transparency about the long wait- 1 1/2 hours after we got seated. The positives: The food was hot, tasted great and the portions generous. We had NY strip, Signature Filet, full Rack of Ribs, Parmesan crusted Walleye, and Braised Beef Short ribs. All were great. The Stone Chocolate Cake was divine. It’s huge, plenty for sharing. It came without a wait( by other staff). We are done eating and waiting for the check. We waited and waited-waitress is nowhere in sight. My party guests had to leave; I’m sitting there by myself. Eventually I waived down another waitress carrying food to another table to ask for the check. Finally the manager (I think?) brought it and when I verbalized the food was excellent but all the wait really reduced our dining enjoyment tonight, our waitress not in sight most of the evening, and now having to wait to pay, he nonchalantly stated “yea, it was a wait for the kitchen tonight, I’m sorry ‘bout that”, then he left and did not come back for my credit card payment. I waited another 4-5 minutes and finally had to go to the hostess desk, where the manager came strolling in from outside the building (out smoking??) and said, again nonchalantly; “oh, yea now you have to wait to pay- no one should have to wait to pay, ha, so sorry”, I told him this was not a joke and that I was really upset by now. No gesture of goodwill, no compensation offered, no discounts on the current meal or a future visit. Very disappointing, Redstone.

    For the first time in several year I decided to have the rotisserie chicken sandwich, and I was sorely disappointed. The bread, which in the past was served on a very crusty and firm ciabatta or baguette, was soggy and underwhelming. The chicken, while cooked properly and hot, was lacking in flavor, and the salad greens on the sandwich were wilted and unappetizing. Only thing they got right on the plate were the hot and well seasoned fries. Management ‘comped’ my meal even when I explained I did not want to be, as I had eat most of the chicken from one half of the cut sandwich. That, I definitely appreciated.

    Food & service always amazing here. Only disappointment was using Open Table to book for Father’s Day. While reserving was prompted as to whether wanted indoor or outdoor seating reservation. Got to restaurant, was informed they don’t reserve for outside. Is first come, first serve. This is fine. Open Table needs to reflect this policy. Disappointing, yet able to accommodate. Technology is great, yet if going to use it, get it right. Seems to be the way of customer service these days.
