   It was great to be back at the Red Stag Grill. The food was exceptional. Mario is an excellent server. The new decor is beautiful. I will return.

   We had a mixed experience on our first visit back since Helene. The cocktails were great and the wine selection was very good. We tried three different salads and all were very tasty - good combination of ingredients and dressed just right. We were less impressed with our main course. Two of us had the lamb shank with grits. The lamb was okay, but the grits were rather bland. The boar chop was a little overdone and somewhat dry. While we love the vibe around the bar and will certainly go back, I'm not sure I would return for a full dinner with all of the other great options around.

   We are locals and are thrilled that Red Stag has reopened 8 months after the hurricane. It was our favorite fine dining establishment in Asheville before Helene and is even better now. The service is prompt without being overbearing, the food is exceptional and the new menu has more choices and some lower prices. Free valet parking too!!

   It was such a happy occasion - celebrating the re-opening of the Red Stag and celebrating our 7th anniversary. Everything was perfect. The setting could not have been more perfect (unless we were in Paris France)

    An excellent classic steakhouse experience. My prime rib was superb, although the sides--especially the scalloped potatoes--were actually better than the meat, which could have been a bit more flavorful. My partner's grouper was excellent. There is a good selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices. Sevice was outstanding.
