We ALL loved it, and we ALL would come back. Best Filet Mignon I EVER ate! Beautiful place, great staff. We couldn't have been happier!
This was our first visit since covid and I was very happy to see it so busy and to see Brian! Brian is such a professional server and an all around delightful guy. We will be back soon!
Although our table was a little late being available at 7 pm, the wait at the bar was great and the table was superb. Angie kept us informed about the table and Atlee was quite accomadating as our server. Highly recommend the Red Stag and look forward to returning soon.
They were out of the breadpudding which we were really hoping to have for dessert, but otherwise our meal was outstanding. The service was great and the filet mignon I had was delicious.
We were seated next to an active private dining room and there was considerable traffic through that door. It wasn't necessarily disruptive, but nearly every guest had issues with the door coming or going out and that was a little annoying after a while.
Highlight of our dinner was also the wine and cocktails. Bartenders (shout out to Chip!) were knowledgeable and made very good suggestions to complement our meals and appetizers.
Highly recommend making reservations well in advance if you are able. It's a busy spot with a cozy, luxurious decor.
They might have changed chefs. At dinner Scallops were cooked completely differently, not seared. Dry mediocre. At Breakfast Frittata was slathered with provolone, not crispy like last visit, very soggy. Food not the great food we are used to there. Had 2 Breakfasts, one dinner. Nothing memorable
Oustanding service and great atmosphere but the food was very disappointing. The only part of our meal that deserved an excellent rating were our respective bison and elk steaks, that were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. And the mashed potatoes. The salads however were mediocre. The sunburst trout was okay but the "tomato gravy" it came with was a very plain tomato sauce and the whole plate lacked seasoning. The side of sauteed kale was tasteless and the asparagus the waiter offered us as replacement was okay but totally plain - charred with no seasoning, oil, butter, salt or pepper. The lava cake with vanilla ice cream was okay. The food plating was poor for a restaurant of this caliber and price range. We were expecting better.
David was awesome!! Amazing food and great service. Would recommend!!
Great location to everything in Biltmore. Wonderful service and the food was amazing!
Food was amazing. Elk and antelope!!
Excellent service from all the staff. Elk was wonderful and our waiter Thomas was great. Will go again when in Asheville.
Waiter was very good and attentive. Baby wedge, filet and whipped potatoes all good. Nice wine list.
This is one of our two favorite restaurants in Asheville as far as food goes and it is our very favorite restaurant as far as atmosphere. It is so beautiful, so well done
Food was okay. Steak wasn't bad but charge $5 for a little thing of steak sauce. Fair meal all in all, not the best of worst steak I've ever had.
Excellent service! Food was outstanding.. Enjoyed the free Valet parking as well.
Not our first dinning experience here and will definitely be back!
We could not asked for a better honeymoon dinner!!!! Everything was amazing!!
Always a pleasure! The food is exceptional! Never a disappointment! Always listen to your weight staff regarding wine pairings with your food! The Tomahawk steak was sublime!
Highly disappointed our order took an hour to arrive at our table. We were seated at 9:30am before the restaurant got busy but we got our order after many later seated tables received theirs. Utterly disappointing! Never returning!
The filet mignon and bison short ribs were fabulous. The crab cake appetizer was very good and the elk carpaccio appetizer was excellent. The service was very professional. It was a very enjoyable experience.
We were on a getaway celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. Had a nice dinner, service was good and waiter was very good and attentive.
The food and service were excellent! Maybe the best waffles I’ve ever had. We were there for a late Sunday brunch and the evening staff came in while we were eating. They were a bit loud, a few people were yelling by the kitchen which was a little distracting and obtrusive. We were in the large booth in between the kitchen and bar area, so I’m not sure if it would have been heard in the dining room. The booth seats look like they could use a wipe down on the seat backs and the red branch fixture above the booth is incredibly dusty. Overall a very good experience, the service was great, our steaks were cooked beautifully and the pecan carrot cake was exceptional!
Fantastic place. Great food. Elk carpaccio very tasty, don’t be afraid to try it.
Very romantic with exotic food. Be prepared for a lot of eyes staring at you from the heads on the wall LOL 😝
Excellent place though
Our experience at the Red Stag was amazing! From the receptionist to the hostess to the chef to our waiter Thomas who made us feel so special, bravo. It could not have been done better. You set the bar. Thank you
Go for the atmosphere, the food is very impressive from appetizers to entrees to dessert. Waiter Ryan was great, will be back next time in Asheville!
This is a fairly pricey restaurant where I’ve had good experiences in the past, but it was mediocre this time. First, hostess was apparently in training and seemed to have trouble seating patrons, including us, efficiently. The Bavarian pretzel appetizer was nice, but my date’s Caesar salad was a tad wilted, had too much dressing and was served with below average presentation. Her carrot soup was fine. The malbec I tried to order with my dinner was unavailable and there were no Spanish reds either when I requested that as a backup. Ultimately I had a decent Cabernet Sauvignon. My filet mignon was good and properly cooked, but the potato pave was bland and under cooked. Overall, quite unspectacular. I won’t be back until I hear things have improved.
A classy venue. Food was tasty and superbly prepared. Staff friendly and eager to serve although a bit more difficult to communicate due to their wearing masks. The hotel lobby is quite unique and memorable.
Highly recommend the elk carpaccio and the short rib, but everything here is amazing! Excellent service in such a really unique and beautiful setting.
Not up to expectations.
The tasting menu was amazing and the wine paired was fantastic. highly recommend
Wonderful appetizers, dinner and service. Ande, David, and Brad out did themselves like always, favorite of the locals and now we understand why.
We had a lovely time .
Our server Brian B was attentive and knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting him with. He was there when we needed him but also gave us time to enjoy our meal.
The food was on a different level- especially the scallops with saffron. Superb!
Wished we lived closer. We will definitely go back and have already let our friends visiting the area in the fall know the Grand Bohemian Is a must dining experience.
Thanks again to Brian B
Couldn't recommend a better place for a celebratory dinner. For and service were outstanding.
This was our first time at Red Stag and I will say it was beyond perfect. When we come back to the area we will dine here again for sure.
I was not impressed with the food. The steak was overcooked and the side dish appeared to be reheated and not fresh. Expected better overall experience. Food quality was average and not worth the price.
Great place for our anniversary dinner. Wonderful food and service was great. Good wine list too
Attentive service. Delicious food. Best baby iceberg salad I ever had. Next time I’m going to ask for a dinner sized one with a sliced filet on top. Husband really enjoyed the bison steak.
We went here for our anniversary (#41). The staff was excellent and tried hard to make our dinner special. The hostess Angie checked on us several times and the waiter Brandon was attentive. The food was not so good. The beef ribeye was tough. The elk loin was a very small serving (6 small slices). The lava cake was small with a small scoop of ice cream. In general the food was overpriced for what we got. The Outlaw Ribeye and Chocolate Stampede at Longhorn are much better and half the price. #42 may be at Longhorn!
