Great food!!! Salmon was delicious!
Checked in close to our reservation time
Asked if we could push it back 45 minutes
Answer absolutely not but would give us 15 minutes grace
Checked in 15 minutes late as allowed
Have her our cell number then waited 30 minutes to be called
We could have stayed in our room and be called when our table was ready
Would have been more civilized
I didn't catch the server's name, but she was fantastic. We had brunch on Sunday, June 20th, 3 people, at 1:00. Reservations under Jensen. Maybe you can find out who she is.
We went here for Father’s Day brunch. The food was excellent and our waitress was exceptional. We were there with our young son. We were a bit worried that this was too fancy of a place for him but everyone was so wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was also so great and the drinks were amazing. We will definitely be back.
Perfect Father’s Day dinner! Food was excellent, atmosphere perfect!
Great food and wonderful experience! Highly recommend
Birthday. Service was excellent, food was perfect, and the music sound level was low enough for us to have a conversation without yelling.
Great food great service…. Complimentary valet parking
Service was excellent…we had a quiet table, wonderful food and drinks..valet parking a big plus!!!
It’s our favorite restaurant. It a never fail spot!
I felt as though we were dining at Dracula’s Castle. Such old and dark
Decor. The food was over priced, the menu limited.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Specifically, the Valet parking, the casual dress code in a sophisticated old world atmosphere, and of course, the fabulous food.
Went for wedding anniversary meal. Enjoyed our meals very much and service was excellent. Nice place for a special occasion
Very cozy atmosphere with great service and good food.
Perfect atmosphere and amazing food and drinks! Couldn’t have picked a better place for our anniversary. Very romantic place.
It was excellent except that the one dish my husband wanted to order they were out of by 6:30.
Our server was great! But hunter board was not that tasty and my filet mignon was very fatty.
As a fellow service employee (hotel GM) my expectations were simply not met. The server was unpleasant and often times ignored us. She also missed out on an incredible opportunity to upsell as the drinks were the only strong point and the server didn’t even attempt to ask us if we wanted another drink. The food was just ok. Not horrible but also not tasty,
Our first time here. Food-very tasty. Mashed potatoes were lumpy. After dinner drink glass was chipped.
The eggs Benedict was excellent. Service was perfunctory and a bit uninspired
We had a 2:15 reservation for 4 and when we arrived we were told the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes - a preview to the food delivered 10 minutes later - the two burgers were ordered medium and came over cooked and dried out - the ceasar salad with salmon was just OK - the sole redeeming dish was dessert - the carrot cake was fabulous -
The Brunch menu was extremely limited - do not recommend to others and I would not return - especially with so many good restaurants in Asheville - also far too expensive for the quality of food and drink served
Hotel was nice to look at inside and out. Service was ok, seemed short staffed. Food was not too great. My girls burger was very dry when she asked for medium-rare.
Long wait for food. I am not a fan of wild game so not a lot of other options. We were underwhelmed and would not go back.
David was great! So was the hostess whose name I can’t remember right now. My mom enjoyed everything! Thank you all so much!
Ryan was a fantastic attentive server. He went above and beyond in making our meal fantastic
Excellent ambiance, service and food.
We ALL loved it, and we ALL would come back. Best Filet Mignon I EVER ate! Beautiful place, great staff. We couldn't have been happier!
This was our first visit since covid and I was very happy to see it so busy and to see Brian! Brian is such a professional server and an all around delightful guy. We will be back soon!
Although our table was a little late being available at 7 pm, the wait at the bar was great and the table was superb. Angie kept us informed about the table and Atlee was quite accomadating as our server. Highly recommend the Red Stag and look forward to returning soon.
They were out of the breadpudding which we were really hoping to have for dessert, but otherwise our meal was outstanding. The service was great and the filet mignon I had was delicious.
We were seated next to an active private dining room and there was considerable traffic through that door. It wasn't necessarily disruptive, but nearly every guest had issues with the door coming or going out and that was a little annoying after a while.
Highlight of our dinner was also the wine and cocktails. Bartenders (shout out to Chip!) were knowledgeable and made very good suggestions to complement our meals and appetizers.
Highly recommend making reservations well in advance if you are able. It's a busy spot with a cozy, luxurious decor.
They might have changed chefs. At dinner Scallops were cooked completely differently, not seared. Dry mediocre. At Breakfast Frittata was slathered with provolone, not crispy like last visit, very soggy. Food not the great food we are used to there. Had 2 Breakfasts, one dinner. Nothing memorable
Nothing special especially for the food to cost value
We dined at Red Stag after our elopement. I looked up romantic restaurants in Asheville when we decided to travel there from Florida to elope. Very fancy, delicious food.
Oustanding service and great atmosphere but the food was very disappointing. The only part of our meal that deserved an excellent rating were our respective bison and elk steaks, that were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. And the mashed potatoes. The salads however were mediocre. The sunburst trout was okay but the "tomato gravy" it came with was a very plain tomato sauce and the whole plate lacked seasoning. The side of sauteed kale was tasteless and the asparagus the waiter offered us as replacement was okay but totally plain - charred with no seasoning, oil, butter, salt or pepper. The lava cake with vanilla ice cream was okay. The food plating was poor for a restaurant of this caliber and price range. We were expecting better.
David was awesome!! Amazing food and great service. Would recommend!!
Great location to everything in Biltmore. Wonderful service and the food was amazing!
Food was amazing. Elk and antelope!!
