My husband specifically told the server that he was allergic to eggs, so he wanted the fried rice to be made without eggs. If this had not been possible, we would have not ordered it. Instead, my husband ate it and had such an allergic reaction that he needed to go to the emergency room by ambulance. I was left paying the entire bill: the restaurant sixteen take off the price off the rice! Our evening was ruined!

I've been here several times. Great food and service. You can't go wrong ordering any dish they're all fabulous. But I do love the bbq pork chow mein and the orange chicken.

The prices have almost double in the last year. You can get better authentic chinese food elsewhere. However, our hostess, Mai was very courteous and provided us with great service.

Very nice atmosphere,Our meal was delicious, our waitress was so polite and friendly I wish I would’ve known her name. Also the espresso martinis were to die for. we will definitely be back.

Problem with food service - ordered an appetizer and waited 20 minutes while my other half received soup. When my appetizer arrived - immediately afterwards the main course arrived!! I hadn't even started eating my appetizer. Possible food contamination. Got sick on either the pot-stickers or the meat dish. My half had neither and didn't encounter any later illness. Very disappointed.

We always love dining at Red Lantern and the food is normally very good. The only thing that we wish Red Lantern still had is the crispy Hong Kong style noodles with seafood or other items. I understood from the staff that the chefs do not want to make it because it’s too much trouble. That’s very unfortunate because other Michelin Chinese restaurants in Sacramento do you have the crispy noodles. Our favorite server is Ms Yim. She always makes her guest feel welcome and accommodated in the most wonderful way.
