Been a mininplan ticket holder this year and with onpyba few games left i finally realized this place. Wow. Great spot to enjoy food drink and watch live game. Really like the high top table. Great fun experience.
I just don’t think The seating policy should be that “You are 5 minutes too early for your reservation, go wait in car and come back.’ Especially when no one there. Ridiculous. .
We love eating here before the game, but this time, the food wasn't up to their normal standards. The pork and the turkey were dry. The parsnip mashed potatoes and the baked cauliflower were excellent! The variety of food available is always exceptional, but I'd appreciate a gluten-free bread choice. Harold, our server, always goes above and beyond.
Harold is the best. Attentive, friendly and informative. He hooked us up. Would ask for him every time.
Good buffet dinner. Nice wait staff and good service from the reservations staff.
Until the staff and management team are trained to deal with problems, issues and/or request; I refuse to return back or recommend Red & White Wine Bistro to anyone! The hostess was rude and didn't try to seat us where we requested (i.e. in a booth). The manager "Lina" was not professional at all. She sent our waitress to tell us we didn't request a particular seating on the reservation. The waitress said we could move to a booth once a booth was cleared. No one ever followed up with us nor did they move us when the booth was cleared minutes later. No one offer us to wait for a booth in the area we wanted to sit. The waitress was nowhere to be found with clean plates to continue eating at the buffet. We had to ask another waiter for more plates. After the whole seating issue, another waiter asked a couple near us if they'd like to sit in a booth so they can watch the game while eating. They simply moved to the booth. This really upset us because we asked and there was availability to sit in a booth but we were refused. Now! I can say I felt a little racism going on because we are African American. In addition to this, other waiters and waitresses kept staring at us and talking about us. As a matter of fact, I overheard Lina, the manager explaining to one of the waiters that we wanted to sit in a booth and we were upset that we couldn't.
I asked for the manager "Lina" again. I informed Lina that I would write a complaint and negative review and she just said sorry she had to go by what the hostess says and offered us free wine. Now! As an Air Force Veteran with over 21 years of service and have supervised and managed people in missions, I know as a manager Lina could have over ruled the hostess and accommodated us.
We will never go to this establishment again. The only reasons the rest of our night was fun is because of the fans and the Rockets won the basketball game. I'm open to anyone who wishes to contact me concerning this matter.
Thanks!
This was our second time dining at The Red and White before attending the Rockets game. The first time I thought everything was great, this time the food was not so good. The meat at the carving stations, prime rib and turkey were terrible. Overcooked and very dry. The pork medallions wrapped in bacon were also very dry. Thank goodness the roasted vegetables and salad bar were in point or it would have been a waste. Also, we were sat at a terrible table when we were the first or second couple to arrive after opening and they would not move us. They said all seats were predetermined before sitting. I never heard of such a thing. We weren’t asking for an overlook table, just one not right next to the hostess stand. The hostess was not accommodating in any way. Unfortunate visit.
Great food! Great drinks! Great ambience! Great customer service! Keep up the good work.
Good Time! Thx!
Our favorite re Rockets game
This has to be the best kept secret in Houston! The food was great and the Rockets won!!!!
Our waiter was perfect, always was checking on us and was engaging conversation about the game.....love to see the staff as passionate about to game as I am. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Nice to be inside Arena
Husband birthday
We always enjoy our pregame meals at the R&W Bistro. One complaint is that you guys charge $7.50 for an iced tea! Also I got a message from Open Table admonishing me for not keeping my reservation for this date. I did keep it (1/11/20) and checked in. In fact the hostess reminded me that I had requested a high top. Other than those two minor issues...my server was great and the food was delicious as usual.
Table location was great. Brianne was very helpful and attentive.
Hot food is cold and the cold food is not. Not sure why they can't figure this out.
Pre-Game Dining. Excellent food and exceptional service from Lopez!
We have spent New Years Eve with the Rockets for the past 10 years and have dined at the Red and White. The last couple of years the food has been outstanding. The service was also improved this year compared to some years past. We highly recommend dining at the Red and White
you need to make sure that food is kept hot. Also service was not per usual. She seemed to disappear for long periods of time
It was an amazing time. For $50 you get all you can eat of pretty much anything you could want. I had prime rib and many other things. Then watched the game from my table. It was a great time and the staff members were always ready for any drink requests I had. Pretty cool.
Food is good but the tables were so jammed together that we couldn't get in or out of our seats and I'm only 5' tall. The man behind me was average height too and neither of us could get in or out. We'd all have to get out of our seats to let each person in and out of the table to go through the buffet line each time. Clyde Drexler was behind my son-in-law who's 6'5" on the other side of the table and that was a real disaster. Clyde ended up leaving to do his pre-game prep but his guests were still there struggling with us. Also, they seated us at the 2nd table from the hostess stand which is a LONG way from the actual food lines so it was a hike every time we wanted to get food. I asked if we could move and was told "no, the first seating (5:30) has to sit in this area." For a woman in heels, hiking to the food each time wasn't very enjoyable especially having to traverse the bar area with chairs out into the tight walk way already.
Was an amazing experience. Service was great.
Was very disappointed with both the quality and selection of the food especially for the ridiculous price of it all. I still can't believe they charge $7.50 for ice tea. The service while not awful was disappointing as well. This was the worst dining experience we have had this year when you consider how much we paid for it.
I usually have dinner here once to twice a year. I admit I did not attend last year. But I took a friend that had never been this year.
Very disappointing. The food quality and selections were not compatible to previous years. Service was lacking as well. I really felt I did get the value as previous years.
I just assumed the Toyota Centet is cutting back and it was very reflective at the Bistro.
Pierce was our bartender and he was amazing! Kind and very fast with our drinks. He made the experience very memorable.
Always Great Service!
Our Sever Michael was over the top in waiting on us. This was our second time to have him wait on us and will request him again on our next trip to the Bistro.
Harold always delivers in service.
Eddie Romero always provides consistently fresh and varied choices in dining.
They treated me like a rockstar on my birthday. I appreciated the card and gift.
Took my son from college
We had a great time! The food was excellent, I ate so much and those giant cookies! Our waitress was awesome. We'll definitely be back.
Game day dining however the hostess was extremely rude and did not want to help us!
Everything as just “okay”. Definitely not worth the price we paid.
Hostess (Olga) gave away my reserved seats after I checked in and then went to pick up my guest. She said I took too long to come back. Waitress (Janell) tried to accommodate me by putting me in a paritally blocked view instead of an unobstructed view table. However the Supervisor (Cassandra) took us to a better table ( not better than my orginally reserved table ) with a better waitress (Lopez)
Rockets game
QUIT SENDING EMAILS. So annoying and I cant figure out how to not receive anymoe
Great place!
Great service, this place is perfect for a date night
Michael always gives great customer service. Thank you.
The bartender, pierce, I think his name was awesome. Kind, fast and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu! Made watching the game even more fun. Will be back!
