Great food, great service. It's worth a splurge on a special occasion.
Outstanding view of the Puget Sound if you can get a table at the window. The food is also outstanding. Prices are high as would be expected for the quality of the food and the great view. This is a wonderful place for special occasions.
This is one the best restaurants I have been to in all of the Seattle-Tacoma area! The ambiance of the view of the Sound was stunning. The bartender was personable and handcrafted each cocktail. No premixed blends to just add the alcohol too. The server staff were my definition of perfection fora restaurant. The were fun, chatty, and checked in when necessary but allowed you time to enjoy your meal and conversation and not be overbearing. The food was cooked to perfection with all the flavors and ingredients complimenting or providing delicious contrast. The staff also made it so special for my wifes birthday with being accommodating, they made it her night and i can never thank them enough for it.
View was great but extremely slow!!!! Food was good , our drinks never arrived correctly although the waiter tried to compensate us.
We are from California and wanted A nice place to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. We have friends who live in the Seattle area and it was convenient for them. They had been to Ray’s many times and really thought it was good choice as well. We were not disappointed with anything that we ate Highly recommend.
Wonderful ambiance, superb service, knowledgeable servers- the food was magnificent and I loved our servers recommendations. It couldn’ Have been a better evening!
Great location, food, and service. The restaurant made us feel special on our anniversary. The view of the water helped complete the evening.
Rays is always wonderful, great views and superb food.
Everything was amazing! Great food, view, and service.
Incredible service and amazing quality fish. Best view ever!
We loved it! The service was sweet and attentive, the view was breathtaking! We were able to watch sunset. The food was outstanding! The portions were plentiful and the presentation, lovely. They even brought us blankets!
First visited in 1979. Loved it then and loved it each subsequent visit. A must visit for those seeking a local dining experience.
It was wonderful.
We had some friends from out of town looking to enjoy some PNW seafood and we were not disappointed. As usual, the sablefish was awesome. Kenzie was our waitress and she was very responsive and friendly making the evening even better. Please pass on our thanks to Kenzie.
waiter was efficient and friendly. Birthday celebration went well. Amazing sunset.
We were celebrating a family birthday and chose Rays for the occasion. It was a beautiful night and the views from our table were spectacular, however the food did not match the view. The King crab was great, the steaks okay but the salmon was tasteless and the pasta dish not much better. I was really disappointed in the quality of our entrees, they were very expensive for what they were. We really wanted to try Rays and I will probably be back to try upstairs but would not dine again downstairs.
Ray's Boathouse is a restaurant we can always depend on for great fish and interesting choices all around. John, Eric and Gwen are fabulous servers, know the choices well and are fun company when they can spare a few minutes. We enjoy simple meals at Ray's and elaborate meals at Ray's and would recommend the Boathouse to anyone looking for food beautifully prepared.
View is fabulous and staff was friendly, but food was bland. We were surprised by lake of taste on most of the dishes.
I got proposed to in this restaurant! Delocious food, BEAUTIFUL scenery, and overall amazing night here! And Now it has very special, memorable place in my heart!
Incredible view and wonderful food! Perfect for a special treat.
Our food was excellent and the service was wonderful. It's always great to come back to Ray's Boathouse.
Spectacular sunset and dinner!
My sister and brother-in-law had just been on an Alaska cruise and raved about the food being outstanding at Ray’s.
My wife and I went to Rays for our first anniversary and had a blast! The staff were very kind and accommodating to us, they went out of their way to say happy anniversary and to make sure we were happy. My wife was over the moon with the ambience. She said it was a dream come true! All in all a very romantic evening and lovely dinner. Rays will be a place we will visit again.
Great service, food, ambiance, and overall dining experience
Made our reservation using Open Table which was easy. Seated immediately at a window table with perfect water view. Eric was our waiter / Sommelier and was fun to work with. Made a couple solid wine recommendations, and provided excellent service thru-out the evening. Great food, served hot and cooked to perfection. What more could we ask for? :) Highly recommend!
We were visiting the West coast and were told about this restaurant by a friend. It was absolutely perfect, we enjoyed the view and the food was delicious, different and the presentation was beautiful. The wine steward was very knowledgeable and he matched the wine to our meals. An absolutely wonderful dining experience.
Beautiful setting, great service and wonderful food. Their fresh salmon is the best! We have never been disappointed. A bit pricey, but worth it on special occations.
King Salmon was requested medium and arrived somewhat over done our other entree items were excellent
excellent evening with my out of town friends
This is a hard to rate. The food was excellent, but between the extremely slow service and flies on the table I can’t get behind this restaurant.
Recommended by another family member so my daughter and I went to celebrate her new move to the area. She thought the scallops weren't anything particularly special, but we both thought the sablefish prep was excellent! The waiter we had that evening was exceptional and very informative and attentive throughout our meal. He is a keeper! The view and corner table by the window made the evening very special indeed. We are from Chicago so higher prices are not so unusual for us but quality of seafood is very good at this restaurant.
We were not impressed with this restaurant! We had an early reservation, the restaurant was not busy, yet the server seemed put off that we were there. Our bill was just over $260 and we were there 1 hour and 5 minutes. The service was very rushed. The ambiance wasn’t what I expected. It’s on the water, but we sat inside with the shades drawn. We couldn’t see the water nor the passing boats. It felt like a convention hall rather than a fine dining establishment.
Be there for the sunset.
We wanted to celebrate our anniversary and were given a birthday card at the table, which is fine, except that the table we had was the busiest for passing foot traffic from all the other diners, so we were mostly yelling across at each other all night. Oh well!
We went there for our anniversary. They put a happy anniversary card on the table so everyone who came to the table knew. This was our first time at the restaurant. We'd been upstairs at the cafe a few times. Great place for fish!
Family in town
We had family visiting from Kentucky and we wanted to show off the wonderful views, great food and great service. Our party of eight had a great dining experience with all the choices of seafood Ray's offers. Always a sure thing when we dine at Ray's.
The view here is fantastic. Had a late dinner there in August and had a spectacular sunset. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I had the sable fish (smoked) and my date had scallops. Both were delicious.
Service was impeccable and the best part about the restaurant besides the breath taking view. The food was good but definitely overpriced. I didn’t feel the plates justified their prices.
