This place is amazing! The atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is pretty good, some Italian classics and some twists, and for their prices, it’s 100% worth it.

Lordy! The food at Rao’s is simply divine. My favorite pasta is the carbonara… best in town. And the pork chop… fo’geta ‘bout it. Everything is so delicious.

The Sunday Gravy special is awesome... We go there for the meatballs, but honestly it's tough to decide which meat is better... Everything is wonderfully delicious.

Rao's was superb in all aspects! Our first time eating here and it definitely didn't disappoint! We ordered the steamed mussels and stuffed mushroom appetizers and shared the lobster for two meal and it was delicious! Our server was great and extremely conscientious of our needs or wants and even brought a meatball for us to try, they are awesome! This restaurant dubbed "The Joint" by locals served up some extremely tasty and fulfilling dishes. Not the priciest or the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for. Our server was excellent and the manager walked to every table and asked all of the patrons about their meals and maintained light brief conversation to provide a welcoming tone. The Joint will be our go to when we return and I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the classic Italian Restaurant feel mixed with great service and food!

I've been wanting to go to RAO Hollywood for a long time. I finally made it there last night with my girlfriend. The server was very friendly and did a good job. The appetizers were very good. The entrees, however, were very tasteless. I had chicken with peppers and while it was spicy because of the peppers, there is no flavor. Additionally the chicken was very dry. The shrimp and scallop pasta my girlfriend ordered was better, but not great. The best part of the meal was the tartuffo ice cream at the end which was very good. Wine by the glass selection was very limited for a upscale restaurant.

Rao’s completely exceeded my expectations! The ambience was very classic but still trendy, the service was outstanding, and the food was very authentic and tasty. Our server, Jonathan, had great recommendations. My partner and I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer along with the bone in veal Parmesan and oxtail pasta. Jonathan paired our meal with a nice bottle of wine. The cheesecake for desert was also great! Highly recommend. We will be returning.

Well, I'm Italian so, I almost never eat Italian out. But, I wanted to try Rao's since getting into the NY restaurant is impossible. Here's what I know: the Caesar salad was good but there wasn't any anchovy flavor and it was too large. It could feed two people. That much lettuce is unnecessary. The veal picatta had no lemon flavor and was SWIMMING in the white wine reduction sauce. Restraint was not shown. This is a delicate dish that requires the veal to shine, not the sauce. The espresso and tiramisu were great. But once again, the tiramisu was too large. Portion control people, portion control. I'll stick with cooking at home using my grandmother's recipes. For $140, I could feed myself for a month or more.

Made me feel at home like I was back in NYC. The manager came around to the table just to check in. Love that. Server was great about recommendations. It was very busy so I was happy to get a table on a Saturday night. Great crowd as well. Positive staff. Gave my date and I many compliments lol

From the moment you leave you car with the valet and walk into this restaurant you feel taken care of. The staff were phenomenal. So personable made us feel like we’ve been coming for years! Sat at the bar while waiting for our table and Gabe made a mean martini! Johnny greeted us at the bar with some witty humor, the hostess sat us and was super friendly. Kevin our waiter was very kind and on it! Tracy was knowledgeable in her wines and treated us like friends from the start. She knew exactly what we would like and didn’t disappoint from wine to meatballs! This place was such fun! It is my new favorite spot! I recommend to everyone. Gotta try the stuffed mushrooms and end with the chocolate cake!! 5plus stars! How many places can you go to and have a few drinks yet in the morning still remember all the staffs names from your last nights dinner experience? Well go to Rao’s and you will! Lol

Delicious food, delicious drinks, huge portions. Noise level was louder than I was anticipating (I thought it would be a little more intimate) but not a big deal or unbearable. Manager & owner walked around to make sure the guests were taken care of. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great food & experience, will definitely return!

I love Rao’s. I’ve been to the original one in New York City and was thrilled when they opened a branch out here. It’s the same food and the same quality of service and ambiance, just bigger and anyone can book a table. In the New York restaurant, it’s like a membership restaurant. People have their own table at a specific time each week, or something like that. Anyway, I’ve been to the one in Hollywood a few times and always get the same thing. Veal Parmesan! It’s amazing. Big enough for two and you’ll still take some home. The meatball appetizer is also fantastic. And the pasta….amazing. Check it out. You’ll love it.

Another great night at Rao's. Service and food are flawless. Their meatballs might be the best thing I have ever eaten. It was quiet on a Wednesday night, coming out of COVID, but the staff was great and the food was fantastic. Never a bad experience.

The meatballs are outstanding. Please note that you would need to specify how al dente you want the pasta since Rao's tend to cook their pasta very al dente.

I’ve always loved Raos. It was my ‘go to’ place for great NY Italian food. But I have to say it’s changed. We were in and out of there in 45 minutes. The food came out just too fast. And busboys hovered over us to take away our unfinished plates. The food was okay. They were nice to accommodate my menu changes but it was nothing to write home about. I felt rushed and our waiter kept hovering, eager to talk about life, show business, etc. He was nice enough but I felt like he was joining our party of two. There just wasn’t a sense of privacy or intimacy that I like when I’m on a dinner date.
