Cool atmosphere. We were greeted by someone straight out of “Goodfella’s.” The Service was really slow, which I would not have minded m, but we had a show to catch. That all said, I give it 5 Stars because the pork chop was the absolute best I’ve ever had. I will come back just for that chop - UNBELIEVABLE L!
Staff was great! Made you feel really at home. Great food and great cheesecake. Thanks Rao’s!
Great dining experience. Food and service were both excellent. Location is a little off the grid, but no worries. Had high expectations based on the reputation and all was exceeded.
We brought friends who had never been and they feel in love with everything, particularly the excellent waiter we had. Meatballs, house salad and veal parmigiana were recommended and they met or exceeded all of expectations.
One of the best Italian meals I have EVER had! Delicious! Lou, the host, was tremendous! Always looking in on us, answering all our questions, telling great stories, listening to our stories. A fantastic evening!
From the service to the food, everything was amazing. One of the best meals I have ever had...
Service was great
Food was great
Johnny is the best
This was the closest thing I have had to Grandmas cooking in recent memory. The meatballs were incredible, veal parm was amazing. Loved this meal, this is home style red sauce Italian. We ate here as a family & my kids loved their meals as well
It was a fair drive to get there, but man it was worth it. We had to check out and see just how good the sauce was freshly made. It was a bit on the pricier side, but man do you get what you pay for.
Rao's is a gem. NYC and Vegas and LA all represent the highest of standards in Italian faire.
Superb food - balanced menu, fairly priced. And a staff that makes you feel welcome and appreciated.
Needs a spring cleaning. Beginning to smell of either old food or cheap disinfectant.
always wanted to go , glad i did, service is wonderful, food was abundant and yummy!
Great place. Make sure to say hello to Johnny and Lou!
This is a great restaurant if you want an old style delicious Italian food and good service! I love going to Rao's because everything on the menu is so wonderful!
Valentine’s Day and my Birthday but we go there for everyday too. We love this place. It’s the real deal.
Often frequent ROA’S, best service, hidden gem.
Great old fashioned Italian cuisine served in abundant portions using very high quality ingredients. Lots of old school type of servers, schmoozing and glad handing patrons. Great drinks too!
First timers ,food was very good and should be for the cost
overall a enjoyable evening out
someone slipped on the meatballs this trip. All else was good.
Great atmosphere, food was delicious and staff was amazing!
Celebrated my son’s birthday. Had a great table, great food and great wine. Service was spot on. Joey Roastbeef was a great ambassador for the restaurant. We loved it.
It was sooooo good! Our first time. Thanks for accommodating us with a different table! :)
Usually when we go to rao’s the service is very good but tonight it was terrible
So much fun at Rao's - you are greeted immediately by the more than friendly "Beef" - the maitre'd - straight out of central casting and warm as can be. Service is attentive and ambience old school. Not to miss: the meatballs and lemon chicken, and ANY pasta - all terrific.
Very attentive service, made to feel very welcomed.
I did not know what to expect. The service was good, the ambiance was good, the food was good and no one goes away hungry. I understand the appeal of the place having been there and would gladly recommend it to others. We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was reasonable ($30 for two bottles of expensive wine)
the food was great, and the service was good also. the canoli's at the end were wonderful
Super authentic. If you are looking for a quality Italian dinner, Rao’s will not disappoint! Best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had.
Very pedestrian food that’s overpriced. Why reservations are tough to come by is a mystery to me. Spend your money at Mozza.
Always have a good time at this restaurant and food excellent.
Completely impressed with our dining experience. The food was fresh, and tasted homemade. The staff was excellent, our server gave us great recommendations as first time customers. Highly recommended.
Best cheesecake in LA. This is one of my favorite spots.
A fun great place with character and wonderful food! Sinatra music, hollywood photos on the wall and a hysterical maitre'd who has great stories.
Loved it! Everything was amazing. Raos is my now favorite Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.
Love Rao’s!! Always the perfect spot.
Rao's is the Italian restaurant of your cinematic dreams. It's always Christmastime here and the ambiance is New York sophisticated with a theme park flair. The service is always impeccable - your table is always visited by a family member right out of Central Casting "NYC Italian" division. And the food is amazing - the sauces, the pasta, the chicken, the wine, the mini cannoli. While the prices are high - maybe about double what would be considered "average" for an Italian restaurant, the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere make the difference almost an "admission fee" for the unforgettable experience at hand.
Overall, wonderful. We hoped for a visit from the famous maitre d as we’d been told of but he never made it back to our part of the restaurant.
Annoying the wait staff closes up shop at 10 am and strips tables around you. You feel pressured to leave. Expansive restaurant should know better.
excellent dining experience and most delicious food!! cant wait to go back.
The food at Rao's is the very best Italian we've ever had. The service was impeccable and the Johnny Roast Beef was a gem. We had an absolutely sensational dinner and a wonderful time. We'll be back very soon.
