The most tender cut of Steak - a great choice
Broiled Australian Lobster Tail served with hot melted Butter
We had a wonderful evening at Randy’s! It was our belated family Christmas. We had our own room which was perfect. The arrangement of the tables made it easy to have conversation. And I can’t say enough about the friendly outgoing wait staff. Everyone enjoyed some wonderful steak and lobster.
Food was some of the worst we've had and not justifiable for the price. Will not return and strongly recommend to family and friends to not eat there.
We had such an amazing experience at Randy's! Our waiter, Vegas, made the whole night even better. He went out of his way to be friendly, funny, accommodating, and even offered to take our picture before we left :) He was really just awesome. We loved his honesty about certain items too, so we could end up with the best meal possible. The food was outstanding!! The filet was huuuge and cooked perfectly. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The bread and butter were addictive. We were worried that the atmosphere would feel too old and worn but it was actually done very nicely. All in all a great first visit and we will definitely be back!!
Prime Rib night is Friday - wonderful! Our server made a special effort to get us the end cut. Friendly & attentive servers who go the extra mile. Been here 4x now & food fabulous every time….blue cheese filet special yum. Comfortable & cozy atmosphere.
Husbands birthday, they had his name on the welcome sign. Service was so great and fast. Everyone as welcoming and was greeted by the owner. Food was delicious!
Great food and wait staff. This is where we go for that some place special,
Great value ...generous food portion...delicious steak
Special birthday celebration that Randy’s did a fantastic job with
This was our first time trying Randy's Steakhouse and we are glad we did. The food is excellent, the automsphere is unique and authentic, and the wait staff was terrific. We also appreciated how relatively affordable everything was, including the wine. We will definitely be going back soon. The restaurant is a converted old home that was built in the mid 1800's and moved to its current location in old Frisco, so there is a lot of charter and charm that is evident the moment you walk through the door.
Remarkable evening, staff and owner go above and beyond. Perfectly cooked fillet, immaculate sides!
Very good service with excellent food. Very comfortable even though they were busy on a Saturday evening. Refreshing standalone when compared to steakhouse chains.
Always a sure thing from service to food and wine. Highly recommend
We went to Randy's for my birthday dinner. They greeted us and promptly seated us. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was well prepared as usual. The only downside was that they had no bread because the bakery they use was temporarily closed.
Overall outstanding experience. The service team was very engaged and we enjoyed our meal. Happy New Year to the entire RS Team!!!! May this year be the best ever!!!
Food was very good
Lots of options
Great wine selections
Service was great
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.
Randy's was a wonderful experience for our party of 4 on New Year's Eve! Beautiful ambiance, the house and decor is so great, not like all these giant cookie cutter restaurants you usually see in TX, delicious food came in perfect timing. terrific waitress (Cindy) and Randy stopped by to check on us. We will definitely be back!❤️
Been going here for years. Food is top notch! Great variety and prices.
We celebrated our marriage with Randy's wonderful steaks. Couldn't think of a better dinner to celebrate with. Thanks Randy!
Been long time since eating at Randy's. Server was excellent. Very attentive. Brought out of town guests who had never been to the restaurant. Enjoyable evening. My filet was good but overcooked. My fault for ordering medium.
We had a very nice dining experience. It was a special occasion for us and we were most pleased with the cuisine and the service was extraordinary.
Wonderful prime ribeye! Randy and staff are great.
With special out of town friends coming to visit, we were excited to share Randy’s with them. Always excellent!
Excellent food and service! We LOVE Randy’s!!!
We decided to give ourselves a bit of a treat last night while one family member from out of town was still here, and made reservations for four of us at Randy's, one of our favorite steakhouses.
The food was outstanding and met our expectations very nicely. But something seemed amiss with the kitchen, as service was exceptionally slow. That is not the norm at Randy's and caught us a bit by surprise. Fortunately, we were in no hurry, and although the wait time was long, our server was very attentive throughout our extended dinner.
We ordered a stuffed mushroom appetizer to share and waited more than 30 minutes for it to arrive. It was excellent.
For entrées, two of us ordered Filet Mignon, one decided to try the Chicken Marsala (with its excellent and unique cream-based sauce), and our visiting guest ordered the Filet and Lobster Tail Surf & Turf. We shared two side orders, a creamy, baked Mac & Cheese and Sautéed Mushrooms.
There was another delay and break in food service of about 30 minutes after we finished the appetizer, but the Filets arrived perfectly cooked, the Lobster Tail large and delicious, and the standout among side dishes was certainly the Mushrooms. The unique Marsala sauce served with the Chicken was a big hit, as well.
Randy's Coffee made a nice finish to our meal. We enjoyed out meal very much, regardless the kitchen-delays we noted.
This was our first time at Randy’s and I have to say I was very underwhelmed. The steak had good flavor, the sides and drinks were good but what really ruined the experience for me was the service.
The waitress was very nice and said they were understaffed, but they were incredible slow and I expect more for a $200+ meal. It took 15 minutes (at least) to get a drink and they weren’t even busy. Service is just as important to me as the food so I hope this isn’t the norm.
Great service and steak cooked to perfection!
Excellent food, as always except for the cold baked potatoes.Service was slow for our table. Other groups came after us but were served sooner. Utensils were dirty. Server mixed up placement of steaks. The wrong drinks were brought out each time we ordered. Final bill was a hodgepodge of items not ordered. Water glasses not kept full.
Really disappointing experience, especially for the price.
Great all around!
Slow service, it took 40 minutes to get our appetizer of onion rings, and they were the best food! Steaks were grisly, and the au gratin potatoes were overcooked & dry. Prices are the same as Del Frisco or Pappas, but food isn’t and neither is the service. Won’t return.
It was delicious. The service was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. If they would only fix their website to reflect the right price of the Fixed Dinner Menu.
The waitstaff at Randy's was phenomenal! Service and attention to our requests were excellent. Being our first time at Randy's, we truly liked the warm setting. It doesn't feel like a corporate owned restaurant which is refreshing. Randy was very personable and talked/laughed with us which was also great. The appetizers were good and our family enjoyed them. We were disappointed in the main course. A couple of our entrees were not cooked as ordered and we sent one back which was still overcooked. The New York steak and prime rib could have been seasoned more as they were bland. If this rating was based solely on the staff/owner (Randy) and the setting, we would have given a 5 star rating. The main course entree and value brought this rating down.
This was our first experience and we will absolutely return. The group consisted of my parents, my boyfriend and myself. It was my boyfriends birthday and Christmas Eve so wanted to find something to celebrate both. I had heard of Randy’s before but until it showed up on the OpenTable app, had never really considered it. Booked 2 weeks out and only time slot available was at 4:30. My suggestion would be to book earlier. However, from the greeting to the end of our meal, the service was amazing. The food was delicious. We started with calamari. We tried the filet, blackberry filet and crawfish stuffed filet along with mushrooms, Mac-n-cheese and potatoes au gratin for our main meal. Perfect. Could have cut the steaks with a butter knife. For dessert, we had bread pudding and the strawberries romanoff. Both were delicious. We enjoyed outdoor dining on the patio. Chatted with Randy as he introduced himself to the tables. Received a bottle of wine for my boyfriends birthday. All in all, it was a perfect dinner celebration with great attention to detail and service by Randy and his staff. Will absolutely return.
The best place to go in Frisco on Christmas Eve! Highly recommend!
Food was wonderful but due to supply shortages, they are not able to make their famous bread right now and did not have a replacement bread available. It’s a steakhouse so bread would be nice, even if it’s not quite what they are used to serving.
Randy's was all decorated for the holidays in it's lovely prairie style home. We decided to dine here after the bowl game nearby. Food was good; our server told us that bread was not available due to supply chain shortages. Hmmm....I would think that a trip to an upscale grocer in the area might have been a priority, but I guess not. At any rate, the steaks and cheddar broccoli soup were delicious. The sides were comparable to any upscale steakhouse you would expect, good but nothing particularly stood out. Our young server went back and forth to the kitchen to ask about questions we had regarding the menu. Still, she was very friendly and happy to please. Good dessert options which we enjoyed.
A good steakhouse option in the far north Dallas area. As we live near downtown Dallas, we probably won't be returning for awhile.
It was a great experience. Loved the food and great service.
Always a terrific place to celebrate a special occasion.
Food was amazing with great people
We were sitting in the bar area where a guy butt was literally in our face as he drank waiting for his table. The table was little a table for two - small table not room to enjoy our ourselves. The front girls did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink while we waited for our table. Yet asked our customers that came in and waited for their table. We couldn’t stay it was very unprofessional for a restaurant with that pricing. Parking was horrible as well. Our anniversary dinner was ruin.
