Lobster dinner always good!
Great place to bring friends and relax!
We enjoyed our food - Salmon BLT was very good, as well as the lamb wrap. However, until they have decent chardonnay by-the-glass (very cheap tasting), it will be hard to return.
Server completely ignored us after we were seated (she appeared to be too busy attending to another party across the hall). We were eventually were given a new server, who was friendly and attentive. Food was average (burgers looked good though). Salmon BLT was designed more for a kids meal (had about 2 oz of fish and one slice of bacon and lettuce leaf). Won't be returning.
Sunday brunch was good, enough variety on the menu. Service was mediocre.
Wonderful mother’s day brunch!
This is a yearly trip to the Annapolis area, love eating at the Rams Head, the service, as always was great! My steak was a little tough, but everything else was great!
We had lunch on the patio on a beautiful day, arriving at noon, and watched the patio fill up quickly. We sat at a table under the blooming wisteria vines, which we always enjoy in the spring. Our waitress was prompt and courteous, and the food arrived in reasonable time. We were seated at a table almost under a speaker, and the music seemed a bit loud but was not obnoxious. My wife and I both ordered the Salad Fresca, which was outstanding. A friend ordered salmon, and was most pleased.
Good. Too hot inside
Met up with family members for the "Build Your Own Bottom-Less Bloody Mary" brunch to celebrate a Dad's birthday. He likes a good Bloody Mary with a hearty breakfast (Mom prefers Champagne). The wait staff was accommodating and patient while everyone tried to figure out what they wanted to eat and drink.
Great table location in the back overlooking the outdoor garden patio (that was later opened up as the weather improved).
The build your own Bloody Mary bar had a lot of options for customized Bloody Mary drinks--including Old Bay seasoning! When my brother noticed that they didn't have any horseradish on the bar selection, he asked a waitstaff who happily and immediately went to get some.
The brunch selections included both breakfast and lunch items. The portions were generous and everyone had good things to say about their meal selections. Overall, it was a delightful experience and a great casual brunch with Bloody Mary bar.
Waitress nice, music venue great
Delicious food, pretty prompt service in light of us trying to get to a concert next door on time. Had 3 different servers in the time we were there. No complaints with food and drink offerings.
Great food and great service. We were seated in an area towards the back of the restaurant away from the main dining room. We loved this as it was a little quieter and perfect for conversation.
Overall everything was great but we felt a bit rushed. Servers need to slow down when bringing the food out. We hadn’t finished our appetizer and the salads came out. Entrees can out before we had finished the salads. Next time we will wait and order each course once we are finished with the prior one.
Food was decent. Good beer selection. Ate in the restaurant before the show. Concert was great.
I'm on a DTox diet and needed something healthy. I loved the Salmon with Arugula. Very tastee and filling.
Had dinner before a show. Really enjoyed it. Broad menu with everything from bar food to formal entrees. Had a burger and it was outstanding - huge, perfectly cooked, great bun. My wife had a grilled salmon platter and loved it. Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Discounted meal and parking if you have tickets for a Rams Head On Stage show.
It was so loud me and my wife could not hear each other talking. I got a steak that was tough
and overcooked. Waiter had to be sought out for drink refill/
Another great brunch and easter egg hunt
Would have gotten 5 stars but no fresh squeezed crushes!
Great place to eat before a show at Rams Head stage. Food is consistently good. Almost too much of it. Service was excellent.
Great beer & casual atmosphere
They were short staffed and we waited 30 minutes before anyone even asked us for a beverage order and the waitress was rude. Our food came, 2 of the three meals were good. The omelet was literally like rubber, the steak tasted like it had been marinated in sugar. The best part of the meal was being so close to the St. Patrick's day parade.
Our service was terrible. Julie, our waitress, was completely overwhelmes and rude. When I say rude, she actually made a face when we she walked away from our table after we asked her to check on our food after waiting 30 minutes. She obviously didn’t check on her food and she never reported back and her food took another half an hour to arrive - a total of one hour since order. Needless to say we did speak to the manager about Julie’s attitude and are missing food. While Crystal was accommodating, it really did not improve the timing of our food delivery or overall experience
Great service, good food, nice setting, before the Stadium Series hockey game. Friendly service, food was served hot, atmosphere was fun, and the food, very good.
I made a reservation for a table an hour before a show and was informed by the hostess that we could eat at our seats for the show and that the full menu was available. We said ok because the doors to the concert area were scheduled to open at the same time. First the doors didn’t open for another 20 minutes. Second the menu was limited to only a couple of items. The food was good but only sandwich menu items were available. However the crab bisque was awesome as was Graham Nash.
Food was delicious, service was good. It wasn't too busy for the Valentine's day holiday.
Excellent dinner - food was good and our waiter was as attentive as he was able to be but I believe the front dining area and bar was under staffed for the pre-concert dining timeframe.
Wonderful experience in our weekend getaway -- especially paired with Mary Gautier on stage next-door! Our server Chassie was an absolute delight. Good at her job, but also a very cool person. The Annapolis version of eggs Benedict will occupy my dreams until I can return...delicious with a beautiful prersentation. Only quibble: the music was a tad loud for me, but I'm particularly sensitive to that!
It was great!
We enjoy shows at Ramshead a few times each year and usually eat there before the shows. Previous visits have resulted in better food and quicker service. This time, both were mediocre and the restaurant was really loud. It was an off night for them I guess. Hopefully better next time.
Visited for a cold Sunday evening dinner. Seated in the back dining room by the fireplace. There were no other diners so it was quiet and cozy. Dining as vegan and vegetarian, we selected the black bean burger with a side of broccoli, brie bites and a Copperhead Ale. The servers and chef were attentive and sensitive to dietary observances making the necessary suggestions that would work best. The black bean burger is tasty with fresh avocado, spinach and presented well. The chef caught a potential allergen and the server suggested a side of fresh vegetables as a replacement. Selected brocolli and it was prepared with wonderful smattering of crushed garlic. The brie bites boasted of a mixed flavor of sweet and creamy. Excellent evening overall.
Looked better on paper. Crab tater tots fun but lukewarm as was all the food. And when my husband found a hair on his plate we were done.
This review is mainly a shout out to our outstanding server yesterday. His name was John T. Couldn't have been friendlier, and answered all our questions effortlessly. He's a keeper!
Oh, and yes - the food was fabulous. The Ram's Head has never disappointed me. Which is why I suggested it to my friends.
Our yearly choice for our childrens' shared birthday. Our wait staff, featuring Megan, was just great.
Great experience, would eat at again
Great first time visit. Will defiantly come again. Our servers Emilie and Taylor were awesome.
As advertised, good “Pub food,” but not off the charts delicious. Server was very attentive and helpful after a bit of a muddled start.
Rams Head Tavern was a complete disappointment for my group of 6. It looks like a lively and fun place from the outside and online and even up front near the bar. We were sat in the back which had a different vibe. The table cloth was an old bubbled plastic cover. Our waiter spoke so softly that it was a problem. We had to have him repeat things over and over to understand him. Worst of all the food overall was just not good and we got an assortment so it wasn’t just one particular type. The crab bisque was cold on top, scorching on the bottom, and more paste than bisque. The mussels didn’t have flavor. The salads were thrown together and again just very bland. Not the most inexpensive place in Annapolis. Look for a good meal elsewhere on West or Main.
Basic tavern food in a great location. We are music fans and come here often because it is convenient when we are going to shows at RamsHead On Stage. I probably would choose another restaurant were it not for that convenience, but it is a solid tavern experience.
