Great food, atmosphere and service! I had the smoked salmon and linguine and it was divine!!! Highly recommend!
Dinner, drinks and live music can't be beat! Great venue!
Second time here for dinner and a concert. Food was good and service was ok, but not like my first visit. Understaffed in the service department this time seemed to create confused service. I ordered grilled fish tacos and got fried instead with an extra side of slaw. I asked for extra salsa. My friend ordered a Vodka with Soda and got it with Tonic. One waitress was definitly stressed and snapped at us for asking her if she could help us out with more drinks when we could not find our server. No, your server will do that." First visit was much better. Food was fine in spite of the mix up. Concert Great!
Good dining options and great service. We'll return here the next time we're in Annapolis!
this is the second time we've been before a Ram's Head concert/Maryland Hall. The food is very good, but where we were seated was so noisy that it was deafening and not as enjoyable this time. The service is good however and we were out in plenty of time to make our concert at Maryland Hall.
Great place to grab a bite before a show. Friendly service and incredibly convenient. Quality bar food and a huge beer selection.
Very poor service. We waited a long time for our drinks and a food did not arrive together. When one of the dishes did not arrive at our table the waiter questioned us about it instead of looking into it himself. We have been to Rams head many times and are very disappointed about this.
A friend and I had dinner before a jazz show. We loved the shrimp/grit and the pear salad. Can't wait to go back to try other dishes. Our waitress was extremely friendly.
They were very accommodating when we needed an outdoor table for lunch on a Saturday (we brought our dog). It’s a pretty straightforward bar menu type place. Food is fine. if you are in Annapolis for the day, and if you have a larger group as we did, it sort of fits the bill for all. Mostly appreciated the dog friendly atmosphere. We ate on the sidewalk basically, but that was fine with us.
Went for lobster Mondays. Great value on the plate but the lobster was overcooked and tough.
The food was perfect. Thanks
The steak was cooked perfectly and the Lobster was great.
It was the second time we have done a show at Ramshead On Stage and took advantage of the special dinner reservation option, a free beer, and discount on parking. We had drinks and an appetizer during the show and more drinks, entrees, and desserts and coffee in the restaurant afterward. It worked out great and everyone was pleased with the menu and with their selections. Since the show was a matinee we hit the dining room mid-afternoon; and, at first our server lost or forgot us. But he apologized profusely and gave us special attention the remainder of our stay.
Had a reservation but ended up getting there over an hour early. No problem. Was seated immediately. Many seating options. Took the back patio and loved it. From NOVA but will definitely come again, especially to see a show and have dinner!
We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Then we waited for quite a while for a server. There seemed to be something going on between servers. A hostess arrived at our table and was excellent and took care of us.
Food and Service was great. Atmosphere and setting worked well for our party of 6.
Steak was overcooked. Scallop dinner only had 4 large ones - skimpy. Food was not special at all.
Dinner salad with grilled salmon was okay. My husband ordered scallops and only got a little rice with them; no vegetables. We decided that this is strictly a burgers and pub grub place.
We always enjoy the food, beer, and setting when we go to Ram's Head Tavern. The service is usually great but this time our waitress was not very good. She didn't know what beers were on tap except for the Fordham beers. Also, one of our burgers was overcooked. We made reservations online so that we could get some incentives for dining there. The only incentive that we received that we received was the 2 free drinks. We had to ask for the others. You would think that the hostess would know when you arrive that you have the extras and would hand them to you.
We will be back but will make sure that we notify our wait staff that we have the reservation incentives next time.
We had a great dinner before a show at Rams Head On Stage. The dinner specials were great, our server was attentive, and our meal was served timely. All in all a very good pre-show experience. I definitely recommend.
Had not been to the Annapolis location in many years and was looking forward to a good meal and even better beer with the family. We started off with the bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were medium to large at best. I was expecting a good-sized shrimp since only 4 are included in the order for $12.95.
I ordered the Jammin' Salmon and it was anything but. It was an extremely small portion of fish and was very dry. I was hoping the jalapeño béarnaise sauce would help but it didn't. In fact I couldn't taste any jalapeño flavor at all.
Kids ordered the Fondue burger and Tavern Pulled Pork and both were fine. Wife ordered the Fish taco and they were fine too.
At the end of the meal both kids wanted the kid's ice cream sundae. They were out of ice cream! huh??
The food was good and our server did a fine job but the kitchen was apparently struggling to keep up which led to some long wait times. Noise level was high.
Very nice dinner, wonderful service, good show! The cream of crab soup was yummy and the wine selection is nice.
Our server was very prompt and attentive despite our section of the restaurant being very full. The food was quite good--much better than average "pub fair."
We were going to see Marc Broussard and opted for the package deal that includes a 10% discount on dinner and $5 off parking at Gott garage. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and loved the show. Will definitely do it again.
We happened to make it in time for happy hour so half-price appetizers, which were pretty big portion sizes! We barely touched our entrees because we were so full from the appetizers! Our server was great - gave good recommendations! We loved the food and drinks! And of course, they closed us out with enough time to spare before our show at Ramshead Onstage. We love this venue and always come back! Great food and service and amazing performances! Definitely a one-stop shop for a great date night!
Great service, great music and overall good time.
Great food for preshow dining. Little disappointed that the tavern desert menu is not the same menu available inside the theater. Mom was really looking forward to the pineapple upside cake, we told the server we would order inside, she didnt mention that it would be unavailable.
Ate here before a show at On Stage. Meal was overcooked. Employees were hanging around our area gossiping. I signed up for the premium on stage experience and did not receive any of those perks. No one at the restaurant even mentioned it. Was not impressed.
Super crowded, giant warehouse place.
I will continue to go back to this restaurant location and this time hope I have a better waitress. The service was lacking, but the food was very good and made it easy to go next door to the show.
My tavern burger was excellent. My wife order the fish tacos and said they were good but too much coleslaw in the tacos. Prices were reasonable. It was hard to get the parking voucher at the end of the night. We had to ask three different people to receive 5 dollars off a 11 dollar fee. Overall my wife and I saw the Idol Kings which put on a fun show!
My first time to your retaurant for a per-concert dinner. The staff was very accommodating as we were held up in a traffic accident coming down from Harford County and they held our reservation after I called to inform of our delay. The ambience is fantastic, the food good and the staff very cordial. I only have one complaint but not with the restaurant. The seating in the concert area was very uncomfortable and too close for comfort. Not only could we NOT see the performer but the people at the next table were most sitting in our laps.
We were forgotten in a very hot room without air conditioning. People kept cutting through to sneak into the show. Hard to hear despite the small room. We were the first ones in there and the last to get our food. Large parties were even served before our group of 3. Our food came after another party had come and gone. Will not return.
I wasn't overly impressed with the food. The menu said you get 1 pound of mussels in the appetizer order. We only got 14 very small mussels (25 are usually in a pound) which were accompanied by a bunch of smoked ham cubes. No doubt the ham was included in the 1 pound weight. Very misleading. No bread was served with them for dipping in the sauce either.
The main course shrimp ceasar salad had some pieces of romaine lettuce that were actually brown and rotted.
The manager did take the salad off of our bill, but EWE! There was just no way we were going to try and order anything else after that.
The service, however, was excellent! Even with all of the problems we were dealing with, our waiter maintained a professional friendly attitude.
Had to send steak back - too rare. Came back the exact same. French fries were cold and soggy - would never order again. Waitress recommended fish tacos to a friend - then stood there while he had his mouth full asking how it was. Didn’t leave. Very awkward and kind of rude.
We made this reservation for a dining under the stars night. When we arrived the hostess told us that they accept no reservations and we could not dine under the stars. She said we could eat in the rear, then told us there were no tables available there. We then had to eat inside the restaurant if we wanted to eat at Rams Head. My issue is, why have the restaurant listed on open table, if you arent taking reservations? and you do not honor the reservation. We have eaten at Rams Head hundreds of times since they opened. The food is usually good. We had dinner under the stars during Paint Annapolis, and the organization had a reservation. This experience left a bad taste with me because we were trying to let our guests experience dining under the stars.
We enjoyed our meal and drinks. The service was outstanding and the band we saw was amazing. Parking was convenient and the discounts offered for parking, appetizers, meal, and drinks made it and affordable date night. We will definitely do it again.
4th of July
We were there for a show in the music venue and ate dinner in the restaurant. It was a very hot day, and the air was not adequate. We were hot in the room where we ate. We ordered an appetizer, which was very good. I ordered shrimp and grits. The grits were like water. The sausage had a ton of orange oil floating in the watery grits. Husband ordered the fish and chips. We ate his dinner. The wine glass was tiny and the charge was high. When we went to the music venue, we ordered the Peanut Butter cake. It was awful. Took one bite and sent it away. There was no offer of taking either of the bad items off our check. Bottom line, we spent a fortune for pretty much nothing.
Excellent. We went before the Sergio Mendes concert. They knew how much time we had and adjusted accordingly. Was great service! Will be back.
